First!

I love the game and think that the best team is really Altador. I've tried all and really think that has the best rounded team... Although I will stick with Darigan

Second!

Nothing's perfect, but everything can be improved (like the practice game)! Just because there was pressure to get it out doesn't mean that it can't be taken down for a bit and tinkered with. I was writing this big, long thing about deadline-related pressure because I know about it from experience (new editor of the school paper), but then I hit submit and Split 2 had been locked. D'oh!

(Snipped the above from the locked split)

Yeah, I don't want to be on the Brightvale team now either. :P

The quiz sorted me into Darigan, but I'm leaning towards either Kreludor or Virtupets, based on the descriptions. Pity I don't care for their color schemes. *sigh* One must accessorize!!

Edited to add: Okay, I picked. *cringe* *second-guess* *give up and go have lunch*

I agree, but I have to say, in response from some people... How are we gonna move a couple players at a time... It would just be a little to hard... I mean:
You hit the arrow key, wait, you need to get to the mouse, too! There would be to much...

Well, I don't need to move more than one player at a time, but I think they could take more advantage of the 'SHIFT' thing. Say, have attacking, normal and defending fixed positions - normal is the formation you choose, attacking is all players further up the pitch, and defending is most of them right back against the goal. That would allow you to move all players without too much effort.

Yeah, but. I just think people should take it as-is. TNT probaly put a lot into just making this game, programming each teams stats, everything. It takes a while.

I picked Lost Desert because they have a Kau and I like Kaus.

Why do I get the feeling that logic like this is going to be my downfall in the cup?

Has anyone seen anything on sale in the souvenir shop yet? Or a list of the produce? Neoitems didn't seem to mention it anywhere.

*goes to work on a custom Lost Desert Supporter user lookup*

Are any of you actually finding any differences between the teams? All of mine seem to be the same speed, have the smae accuracy... everything seems to be the same

Yes, I totally agree. I think it's a really good game, but it just has a few minor flaws. Even the best games need second versions, and it's just suggesting possible variations. And you have to admit that the game, good though it is and despite all the effort put into it, is not perfect - no game is. Surely some of the suggestions must sound like good ideas to you.

I disagree. I've only tried out a few teams, but there is a noticeable difference between some. And players on the same team even, I notice a difference in speed and power. Although every goal I score seems to be by the same person, despite it obviously not being so - unless he's very versatile

So, uh, help yourself! :) Guess you can really tell who I'm rooting for, lol.
EDIT: Of course, the file size is a bit big. D'oh! Working on decreasing it now.
EDIT2: Now fixed...a lovely 27K instead of 80 lol.

Eeeek, look at all the splits! It's hard to keep track.

I ended up picking kreludor, despite the fact that I can't spell it and they owe me some serious gourmet items for my gallery, based on the team's characters and description/picture

Terror mountain just didn't hook me like I thought it would :(

I'll be interested to see how we play, I'm not quite sure about the mechanics of the whole thing.... I almost picture it with more of a strategy element involved, not quite sure how they'll overcome the control issue you guys mentioned but it'll be interesting to see.

My game's doing something really weird where if I so much as pass my mouse cursor over another player, I automatically switch to that other player. Which is bad, because I keep losing the ball because of it. :x And idea how I can stop that?

I'm really torn between Altador and Krawk Island as the best team (performance wise, no personal preference) but I chose Krawk Island because they're faster

Sat Jun 03, 2006 3:55 pm

Hmmm I was "sorted" into the krawk island team but I just wasn't feeling the magic with them.

Bleh, I am so bad at this game it's crazy.

I really do enjoy how the practice team is Jelly, knew they'd have to get it in somewhere.
