Someone has hacked into my account and changed my password, pin number and email address.
First of all, I was kicked out of Neo. So I tried put my password in, but it didn't work.
So I requested my password.
It said I'd already asked for it 3 times today, wait till tomorrow.
I went into my emails and someone had requested my pin and password, and read the emails.
Now I'm locked out of my account.
Whats the best course of action to take? I've used the Contact Us page, but I've heard they're useless.
Is there someone I can email who will help? I don't want to lose 3 years of work.
If I don't get the account back, I'll most likely quit altogether

Use the scammed form to request that they investigate. Be polite, be adult, go into depth. I was hacked a few months ago, much the same way - I got my account back in less then a week because I was persistant and polite.
Do NOT blame them - tell them as much about your account as you can, and try (I know its hard) try not to worry. This will work itself out.

How will they be able to give me my account back if it now has a new email address, password and pin?
Did they tell you via your old email address?
Did they give you a new random password?
Did they return any items or money that were stolen (cos I have about 1 million in np that took me ages to get and a Ring of the Lost which is my prized possession)

I'd say that if you email using your old email account they will see on their records that your email address was the previous email address. Just be polite and everything should be ok.
My neopets account was hacked a good 2 or 3 years or so ago(noisy1), I had so much np on there, I was really proud of my pets, and if I was still on neopets on that account I would be a member for 5 years. (has it really been that long?) I was devistated when I lost it, but I didn't know what to do. Luckly you know what to do. So you aren't in the same situation I was.

Hey arogance , I got him to reply to a neomail i sent , I pretended i already knew you and we had already pre arranged a trade . He replied about 15 minutes ago .

I don't know if I would recommend contacting the hacker any further. If he panics, he may self-freeze the account, or something else. I would let TNT handle it.

I know how you feel because afer working really hard for a little over a year I had painted pets I was really proud of, the Adam avie and a pretty large shop. TNT froze my account with no warning in January and I have been unsuccessful in getting it back. All they will tell me was I was frozen for cheating but they won't tell me what I did and now they won't answer my emails at all, even though I made a point to stay respectful and not accusatory. I started over but now I don't devote as much time to NP as before. If they freeze me again I definitely won't start over.
I hope you get your account back complete and unharmed. Don't give up hope, as I think TNT will be more sympathetic with you than me.

They did not tell me via my old email address - that email was lost to me, I gave them a more secure email (one that was attached to my real name) and asked them to contact me there.
I filled the form out in as much detail as I could - and I was honest when I couldn't remember something - I tried to give them other information instead.
The first thing that happened was my account got frozen - they did not email me when this happened, which caused a mild heart attack on my part - two days later they emailed me with a new random password and a letter telling me to "be more careful in the future"
I was very fortunate, my pets were not pounded and nothing was stolen (I had 1.5 mil in the bank and a draik transmog in my gallery so I was...concerned)
The best way to handle this is to be very clear and try to sound as reasonable as you can, don't make excuses (I know I didn't do anything like give someone my password - but it wouldn't have helped my cause to argue with them about how it happened) If you are reasonable and clear you have every reason to believe that you'll get your account back (without extraordinary measures) if it makes you feel better you can try emailing some of the staff directly (I did, and I don't knwo if it helped or not) I got responses from my forms.

Nobody "hacked" into your account. What they did was CRACK your password or you forgot to log out on a public computer, a friend's computer, or maybe stopped by some shop or whatever with a cookie stealer and got your info.

I believe you can only self freeze from inside the account.
Do you have a friend with space who can grab your pet for you?

Someone has already grabbed the pet.
I neomailled her explaining the situation and asked if the weapons were still attached, but I'm not holding out much hope at the moment

what's your username, if we see that in the trades somewhere, the least we can do is try and get whatever it is the hacker's trading.
Without contacting the hacker and setting him of course.
I'm sure TNT will help you get atleast your account back
