Can't play with plushies?

I assume this has something to do with the new plushie shop. Don't know what it might be, though. Anyway, one of my pets was feeling a little down, so I tried to let him play with his favorite plushies. The option for "Play with (whoever)" is no longer there. It's there for the rest of the toys, and for Usuki, but the plushies can't be played with. Ideas?

Huh..? After I read your post I checked it with my pet.. Yeah, it does not appear.. ohh man.. Plushies are the only toys I play with my pets.. I still have no idea..

I hadn't noticed until you mentioned it, but maybe they are just doing something else with the plushies...something NEW and EXCITING.

This is probably going to start major rumors and give people heartattacks, but remember, I'm just speculating. Books on Neopets used to not disappear after you read them, until too many books appeared in inventories and started bogging things down. Maybe the plushies are becoming too numerous now, and TNT is going to start "culling the herd," so to speak, by making plushies one-use items, like the books are now.

Which would majorly SUCK, in my opinion. I don't think this is really going to happen *crosses fingers*, it's just the first thing that popped into my head when I read this thread. I say we start a petition if this is implemented.

It's the new shop. Plushies are a new itemtype (they used to be toys) and so the databases haven't been updated to reflect that plushies can be played with.

The same thing happened with the Altadorian foods - they couldn't be eaten for the first month after they came out.

No big deal. It will probably depress plushie prices a little bit, but they'll bounce back again once TNT fixes this error.

Hi, I managed to sneak a Red Xweetok Plushie from the Snowager earlier, but when my pets tried to play with it, they couldn't! Any particular reason why, or is this plushie for Xweetoks only?? Thanx!! ~pidh
It's not just that plushie. All plushies are affected. To reduce the crazy number of items that the Toy Shop has to stock, we split off plushies into their own group and their own store in which to stock. Of course, when we did this, we forgot to mention to our database that they should still be capable of being played with. Oopsy! We have fixed this now, though! Your Neopet should be able to play with their favourite plushie again.

That solves that. I believe the mods can now lock this topic
