Ok, this is my rant and rave, but I'm sure it will be short, because I'm not much for typing big long posts.
Anyways, god, the biggest thing that PEEVES me off, are Neocam Stalkers, especially for Ollie, the Phantom Orange Shirt Guy.
There are so many people neomailing him looking for clues in the plot, clues in games, cheats, ect.
Then there are the thousands of girls who neomail him saying hes cute, hot, ect.
Poor guy! I really do not know how he could handle it!
Do you think that there should be something done about all the stalking?
I would suggest just taking the Neocam down, but no, there are people who look at it from time to time. Or even place it somewhere where more then ONE person gets viewed, instead of poor Ollie.
I don't know, y'all probably think this is a pointless post, but I had to express it!

Meh, I could care less. I watch it sometimes. Just to remid myself they are living human beings

Well, he could always block neomails, but it's his choice to keep them open.
I did neomail him earlier today. There was a alot of people spreading rumours that he was neomailing saying the 10th clue of the Altador Plot was out, and he said it was false.

He replied? How do people get all their usernames?

It does seem silly that so many people go crazy over Ollie, but its probably because he actually interacts with the users. He goes onto the boards and talks to people, and he answers mail, and isnt just another nameless faceless member of TNT. If he didnt find something entertaining about it, he'd just return to seclusion. Although it is a little creepy when girls devote entire petpages to over 100 screenshots of him saying two words on a Neoboard.
Id like to have more staff members interact with users. Not to a wild extent, but it would remind everybody that they do exist, and they are real people. Plus it would make Neopets feel less like a giant unfriendly business machine.

Nooo don't give them the idea of taking away the neocam... I spend endless hours a day looking at it.. what would poor lil people like me do without looking and new shipments of cardboard boxes... ohhh the insanity

Beautiful nostalgia..

I like looking at the neocam occasionally myself. It's kind of interesting to look behind the scenes and see what's going on. Usually it's just people working in an office at their computers, but it's nice to know their names (like Ollie and Snarkie) and recognize them when you see them.
What would be bad would be if you ran across them in an airport or at E3 or something and turned into a mannerless creepy neopets fanatic.
It's nice that they reply to neomails. I see some of the replies on the NT editorial and think that they must get hundreds of illegible neomails every day, maybe they only reply to the at-least-semi-intelligent ones.
I always wonder - there's millions of players, and maybe thousands of good, active, long-term players. We recognize some of them and their usernames. I wonder if they recognize any of us.
Would anyone on neopets staff know who ickessler is? I'm a contributer, I send in suggestions and enter a lot of the contests. It would amuse me if someone got a neomail from me and said "Oh, it's that crazy lenny chick again."
Err, anyway I like the neocam. And Ollie is hot. I wonder how old he is?

It is a little creepy. They sit there, infront of the Neocam, and just refresh and save pictures gallore. Then there are some that sit there and talkin stupid studd with Ollie...
Like "Ollie, will you adopt me"
"Ollie, will you marry me"
"You band is awesome"
If you like his band so much, go to Red Hot Roxy's wesite and post on their boards there -.-
Yes, it is nice that he interacts with users, but I would be scared myself if I was working for Neopets, and I had a swarm of guys always lurking the Neocam, just so they could get a picture of me.

I can say for a fact (my best friends sister babysits for a mom who is a neopet's monitor) that Olli is a egomaniac. All he does is brag about his games in the office (and they're not that good!) and put other Flash programmers down!

a non-stalker

Not to be rude, but I think that's funny, and sounds like one of those Ubran stories....I have a thing with not believing stories that have "my friends, best friends cousin who [enter whatever] for a person who got hit by lightning...
And its ok to be known as an egomaniac...and I doubt he goes around bragging about his flash games, maybe bragging on how he has a fan gathering of lil girls

"Egomaniac" or 'primadonna' would probably fit the personality of a guitar player in a popular local band. (I don't know how popular they are. I never heard of Red Hot Roxy in Mississippi.)
And I'm not a lil girl, I'm err... I'm probably older than he is.

Looking through the web cam of Neopets makes me feel like a ninja...or a super spy. every time they move the camera, we learn a little more about the infrastructure.
