I don't need help with the game... exactly. I was just wondering if anyone knows if the payout is different depending on how many clicks you use to find them. As odd as it seems, I think you get more money the longer it takes to find them instead of finding them quickly.
Also, I haven't had any luck finding the avatar for this game. Anyone who got it know where it shows up?

Getting the av is random. but it's rare, you'll go crazy trying to get it.
and the payout isn't affacted by the clicks. i've found that i get more money from taking a long time than taking a short time

I just got the av last night, actually. :-) It shows up on the win screen.
I think the best thing to do is to take the game with the fewest hiding places (I think that's Terror Mountain: only 5) since you want to win as many times as you can. Then just play every day until your pets get sick of it.
It was a pain in the rear but once I got serious about playing until my pets were bored it didn't take me that long to get it.
What I did was click until I got a win, then refreshed on the win screen. That automatically starts a new game and looks for the pet again in the same place you just found it last game. It's not a huge time-saver but it saves you both re-opening the window and clicking on that spot again (and about 1/5 of the time, that's where the pet is again so you get two wins in a row with no clicking.)

Well, at least I know where to look now. Something else I just found out is that you can no longer switch your pets to make them less bored. It used to be that when one got bored of it, you could switch out and keep playing, but now they ALL get bored. Kind of like Scorchy Slots after about an hour.

I heard a theory that you are more likely to get the avitar if you play with a Kacheek. Anyone know if it's so? (Please PM me, since I'm about to get off the board.)

I just did what you said, for about 10 minutes, and I got it!
Thanks so much for the tips!

You can also press backspace on the lose (or win) screen to go back, so you don't have to move your mouse so much.

That's weird...When I choose a hard location i get 20-38NP as oppossed to the 8-20NP I get when using an easy map. It doesn't take that longer so if you have the patience and time then I suggest going for the Hard levels.
