Lutaris in pound?

As the editorial says, Lutaris will never actually go to the pound. So, where do they go? Back to the create-a-pet center, or do they just disappear (probably going to Lutari island ;p).
If they do go back to the create-a-pet thing, that could mean that there will never be more Lutaris released, but you can only get them if someone pounds one?

then there is also the question of what happens to the pet name. if anyone was actually willing to pound one (and i think thats unlikely..) if they "ran off" for someone else to create then, then the pet name should be available. otherwise it wouldn't,
anyone want to try that out?

Personally, I hope that Lutari Island is gonna have a similar set-up to the Virtupets Space Station, in that you can create a pet there. But since the Lutaris will have ran off before, you would need to complete a set of tasks to get one.

On a side note, do they get rid of pets after they spend so much time in the pound? I've always been curious about that...
A pet (that was painted Darigan) that I abandoned in early 2005 was still in there up until a few weeks ago when I managed to convince my sister to adopt him.

Huh, I wonder if the Lutaris 'run off' to Lutari Island if they get abandoned? The Team is cruel.
I had been hoping to pick one off the Pound. Been waiting a year for them to be released, and they bring 'em out when it is least expected. Those cruel, cruel people.

If they don't go into the pound, and just vanish, does that mean the name can be reused?

You can't reuse the name of a lutari that has run off, it still says the name is taken. And another one isn't available for release.
I guess we'll just have to wait and see what weird and wacky thing tnt are up to :S

I agree. I thought all pets painted a special color were snatched up right away.

Someone attempted to pound a Lutari (it was lab rayed into a Lutari, as the Lutari Day Lutarii are still too young to pound) and when you lookup the pet it says...
"This Neopet was abandoned and has run away so as not to be placed in the pound!" You can see for yourself if you lookup the pet "phoenx_flames".

What a waste of a good (ish) name. I wonder if theres going to be any way to get them back after.
