For the battledomers, does the idea of having more than one pet make you take a step backwards?. Why?. For the battledomers that have two, three, or four pets, can you say you are just as comfortable and stable as those that have less?. Besides the dilemma I'm facing, I've heard a lot of people stray away from going over certain numbers- such as two or three. Thought I'd ask around in hopes of settling my own issues after hearing from others.

Its considered "bad" for serious battlers as it means any faerie quests, random events etc don't always go to your battling pet, as they can go to your other pets.
Personally, I have four pets and don't give a whoot if Krabbz, Dunderblixem or Kobrassi receive the stats from a faerie quest. Its not like they cost much 99% of the time...

The tihng is, though, a faerie quest can save you anywhere from a few thousand to a few hundred thousand, depending on your stats. You wouldn't want to waste that advantage. Also, it takes Kitchen Quests right out of the picture.

I didn't start out as a BDer, so I have four pets. It *is* a big disadvantage as far as quests go .... once you start getting to really high levels, one pet seems the way to go.
I'm not willing to give up any of my pets though. >.<

I've been playing Neopets for almost six years now, and I created all four of my pets before I really got into battling. It now costs me five codestones per point (soon six) to train my battle pet, so yeah, it would help me a lot if all faerie quest/k-quest rewards went to him. I don't want to risk losing my three other pets with their nice paint jobs and old petpets, so I have to live with it... but I do sometimes wish I had just one pet.
Of course, TNT could solve this problem by making quest rewards affect only your active pet. I have no idea why they won't do this.

I'm really debating about trying everything to contact the Neopets Team to find out why they won't fix it, as you said. It's only leading to pounding and side accounts, as I do know a few people have transfered their existing pets to another account because of the "Faerie Quest" issue.
But I honestly didn't know all Kitchen Quests are random too. Has this always been this way?. The majority of the time I -have- done quests with another pet on my account, my active (battler) still gets the reward. Perhaps I've just been lucky.

I would like to know how you can send your pets to your other account as I have one account with 3 pets (1 which is my battler) and another account with 1 pet. I would like to send the other 2 to my one account but don;t know how? Do I just put them in the pound and search by their names?
Thanks

For what i recall, KQs were random to your pet as well. It's definitely advantageous to have only one pet. I've gone from 4 to 3 pets as a result.
----
Chan: Yes. That's the only way you can transfer. Put 'em in the pound, and pray you get them back. Because there's a high probability you might lose them w/in the transfer (so, do this pretty late at night [in Neopian time] and be verrry quick)

I stay away from more than one. Maybe it's just me, but I just don't see the point of having so many pets which is too hard to manage. Besides, your strongest pet will not look so special that way.

I like having 4 pets as it gives me more choice when using the lab & petpet lab. I like being able to work towards 3 petpet avis at once whilst still use the petpet lab.
Also, I can use the lab to try for avis on my other pets without the danger of losing stats to my BD pet

It's better to have just one pet so if you get quests and such, there is a 100% chance of the faerie raising the stat of your training/fighting pet. Many people lose chances to raise their stats and such due to the fact they have more than one pet. At most, maybe two pets on a main file because then you have a lab rat.
