Last night I got this warning from TNT
You have received an official warning from the Neopets Team for violating the Neopets Terms and Conditions. You have been found to be using an Auto buyer. Any further use will result in your account being frozen. Cheating is not allowed. Do not use, ask for, post, trade, or sell cheats anywhere on Neopets. If you continue to break the rules, your account will be permanently frozen.
It went on to say not to respond to this message.
I definately do not use an auto buyer, is there a way to prove to TNT I don't? Mostly what I do on Neopets is restock, but now I'm afraid of getting frozen.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Email again POLITELY explaining that you do not use an auto-buyer and could they please explain what suggests that you are using one and if there are any specific places/times you appear to be using one. Then see what reply you get and get back to us. Obviously you want to check what is making them think you're using one so that it doesn't happen again.
Don't forget to include all previous messages at the bottom of the email so they can refer back and include your account name.

And just to be safe, change your password. Your account might have been hijacked and somebody else is using the autobuyer on your account.

Hi
Definitely run scans on your computer for spyware, virus, anything that could be triggering TNT to think this. If you have HijackThis, you can have it scan all the programs that have been d/l onto your computer.
Does anyone else use the computer for Neo?
And yes, I would definitely check the email - if you can change it and your password.
To be honest I have never heard of TNT giving a warning for AB'ing ... they just freeze for that. Was this a neomail with the TNT "asplode" avatar or was it an email? Just wondering.

Yes it did have the asplode avatar, so it was definately from TNT.
I have changed my password and ran checks for spyware, etc..
I also sent TNT an e-mail politely asking for more explanation.

Hi, sorry to appear so ignorant, but what exactly is an Auto Buyer?

I don't know for sure either, but I assume that it's a program that automatically buys items from the shops with a certain rarity, meaning that it allows you to buy items before anyone else. Am I right?

Thanks Brad, for the enlightenment! It's amazing all the "hack" computer stuff that is available. I'm still living in the last century.

Yeah, it's a shame the things people will create, just to gain unfair advantages, or to prove themselves better than the hack-ee. Takes the fun out of things, sometimes.

I find it pretty mind-boggling that there are people who've sat down and coded programmes just so they can nab a few pixels on a website. The phrase 'it's only a game' doesn't seem to occur to some people...

The phrase 'those people have no life' must not occur to them either
