Let's all shout 'Ignorance!' (Inflation/Deflation Question)

I really feel stupid for asking this. But the thing is, I've never needed an item, or had the money for one, that had a seriously visible inflation. In this case, the Lab Map. What I want to now is, with Altador released, a war is definitely looming. I think most would agree. Even if it's not going to be the direct result of the Altador release, a war is coming withing the next 7-8 months, yes? And whenever a war is coming, lab maps rise, yes? But my question is... do the prices come down again??? I've been saving for a Lab Map for ages, currently have enough to buy one, even somewhat more than that, but as everyone knows, it takes money to make money. And so I'm torn between not buying the map and making more money with what I have, while the Lab Map may, in a few months, cost, I don't know, 700K maybe?, or just buying the map now and dropping back down to a very small capital. I mean, I could easily accept the fact that it will cost a million in a few months time, if I know prices will drop again.

But like I said, I'm completely unfamiliar with (permanent) inflation /deflation.

I'm pretty sure I noticed a dip in price after the Lost Desert Plot started to wind down. When I started saving for it, I was lucky to find a piece under 50k, but two months later, I bought all my pieces just under that price. It wasn't a huge drop, but I noticed it.

The price fluctuates over every little rumor. You just have to be vigilant! I think you would be better off sniping cheaper pieces as they are priced in the wiz. I got one last week for 20K from a newbie's shop.
