Found that I have about a hundred negg points in the neggery and thinking of topping them up to get the Super Negg.

Which is the most worthwhile negg to get currently based on the measure of negg-points/np?

searching the shop wizard can give you a look into the neggs that aren't as prolicfic as the rest. and i'm sure there is a negg guide somewhere that evaluates the neggs being given...though i don't know where it is.

You can get a Cackling Negg Cost : 96 Tokens or you can keep saving the highest priced negg is Cool Negg Cost : 247 Tokens. When deciding what negg you want to trade them for first you might want to have a cause. Gallery, Battledome, ect. then you can find the best one that suits your needs. Some will raise your pets abilities if eaten which would be good to save in the trainning of your pet.

Hmmm I think I've been misunderstood here.

What I meant is, which negg has the cheapest value per negg point.

For example:
purple negg 2 neggpoints 2000 np so 1000np/neggpoint
negg 1 neggpoint 1500np so 1500np/neggpoint

Making the purple negg more worthwhile to buy.

I'm asking as I want to top up my neggpoints to get a super negg and just wondering what neggs should I buy for the negg points.

Basically, you should go for the starred neggs, which go for about 3K a point. The others cost way more. If you decide to use Puneggs, be sure to use cooking pot and not just buy them.

Good Luck! (And, in case you were wondering, the cost of a Cool Negg is 247 tokens, or about 740K if you go the above route. I'm betting people would be willing to sell them for less. My suggestion: Try to find Neggs cheap whenever you can. Once you do, cash it in and slowly save up for that Cool Negg. Or, just turn around and sell them for a huge profit).

Another thing: You should do a little research on this on your own. I gave heavily rounded prices, but I noticed that some of them tend to go for a little less or more. Because neggs are such a huge industry in Neopets, the prices fluctuate constantly. Also, not every negg is listed on here, so if someone finds another price, let me know so I can add it.

Apparently, Cool Neggs go for about 725K on the Trading Post. So, if you're good at Negging, you could probably make some NP off of it. You would have to restock like crazy.

By the way, I found more:

Candy Cane Negg (6): 19K
Battle Duck Negg (8): 25K
Christmas Pattern Negg (8): Unknown, but R97, so mega expensive
Chyrsaberry Surprise Easter Negg (10): 69K
Combomelon Easter Negg (10): 56K
Cornupepper Easter Negg (10): 55K
Dancing Daisy Easter Negg (10): 65K
Fruity Faerie Easter Negg (10): 57K

I used Neoitems for the names of the neggs, then did price checks on the shopwizard. The prices vary a little depending on which first letter group you get, but these are probably pretty representative prices.
