With the pending new Plot/War on the way...

Sun Feb 26, 2006 1:18 am

...what battle stats for a pet are enough to be an effective warrior?

I've been frantically training my eyrie to get the highest stats possible beofore the new plot begins. I did not take place in the maraqua war (except as a supporter and at that time I was a newbie and had no money to effectively support...).

If this is a battle/war related plot, I'd really like to be useful to the side I choose. *cough*altador*cough*

At this time, her strength is 94
defence is 93
Hit points 93
Agitlity 60
Level 58

I know it's not epic, and I am still having a hard time beating the Meerca Brothers. But she has some decent weapons, (including her *awesome* prize from the lost desert plot).

I was just wondering what to expect out of a war-related plot from those who have gone through one before. I don't expect to beat the Darkest Faerie on my own, but I'd like to give her underlings a light thrashing. ;)

Ah, man, don't remind me of my pets' pathetic stats. :P But I'd also apprecaite any pointers the war plot experts have to offer. :)

This probably belongs in the battledome board. :) But your level is above 50, which is nice because you have berserk attack. You strength and defense are both in the 85 boost, which is decent (and it's nice that you have them balanced; you can use dual-duty weapons and probably last a bit longer in fights than the 85-strength-boosters with no defense to speak of). Your HP could be higher, which would help, but right now if you have 10-icon+ weapons and some good shields (and the good faerie abilities, which are very important), I'd say you'll be able to handle the first few rounds no problem (or the first 5-7, if there are a similar number of rounds as in previous wars). Even if they use that horrid rank system like they did in CoM, you should be okay. It was only the 85-strength-boosters with high HP (like me, heh) who got totally screwed in that war. (I'm hoping now that I have 200 strength and 200 HP and better weapons, I'll be able to last longer.)

Also, it may not be a "choosing sides" kind of thing, even if it is a war (and we're still not even sure it's a war).

ak - yes... it probably does belong in the battledome board... I'm sorry about posting in the wrong place. Mods, if you need to lock it, no hard feelings at all. I apologize.

Cranberry: Well, that makes me feel a bit better. i'd like to at least help out on the lower levels if there is a war. :)

What weapons and abilities do you have ??

Pitchin it over!

Cranberry has some very strong facts that you should consider.
Definitely HP would be (IMO) something you should be focusing on.

Strength boosts are a bit away (next at 125) so getting anything from that wont be too useful. But HP boosts are instant help ;)

The war is still probably a month away, so if you really hurry, you could get that next boost before it starts. However, if they do the rank thing again, you might not want to. Also, if you have the lab map, you can effectively raise both.

Could you please explain how the rank system worked (or, more specifically, which stats TNT used to rank you)? I wasn't here for the Maraquan War/Plot.

Thank you for moving the thread. I'll read a little more carefully in the future.

Right now she has:
-Ring of the lost
-Scarab Ring
-Obsidian Dagger
-Leaf Sheild
-Cape of the Sun (mostly cause I think it's pretty, but isn't as strong now that she's fighting higher lever opponets, so I'm probably going to loose that)
-Ancient Eyrie Power Wand

The only weapon that I want to keep for sure is the Ring of the Lost. I do have money to buy new weapons, but nothing too crazy such as hidden tower weapons. I have been debating an Ancient Eyrie Battle Helmet (someone has a fairly priced on on the trades), but I'm not sure.

I know I need more defense, but I'm trapped in a mode where I want the weapons to not only be powerful, but also suit my pet.

I'm still new at the battling aspect. :) Still training on mystery island every four hours that I'm around.

You should also register over at the IDB (In-Depth Battlepedia) forums if you haven't already, and start a thread in the weapon advice and comparisons forum. If you post your pet's species, stats and current weapons, plus a budget, they can help you a lot. The members there know all the good dual-duties (weapons that both attack and defend) and can work with your budget and counsel you on how to train, and you'll probably get more responses than you will here. :)

Your Eyrie is as strong as mine was for the last two wars (except for the HP, which is what screwed me over in the Maraqua war) and stronger than mine was in the 2nd Meridell war. And I had a great time the Meridell and Ice Caves wars.

You'll do fine. :-)

(Did I miss something? Why is everyone so sure that we're on the verge of another war? Because someone found that Lupe picture? I'm hoping its a few months off, personally, as I was hoping to get the 200 strength boost before the next war -- and I want to get some more HP off the lab before I do.)

The bit in the editorial mentioning something happening this week or next says more to me than the pic did;) I've been training away, but it seems to be such a slow going process.

Training is really bad now. the codestones have inflated and failed to deflate. a lot of them cost over 5k, when they used to cost about 4k or less.

lol. Well, really more like crying than laughing...but still lol.
I remember when they cost less than 3k. At least they're not in the 8k range, and TNT is trying to deflate codestones, or halt their inflation anyway. After all, they've made them available through other outlets(like Geraptiku, IIRC).

I wish Tiki Tack would start stocking codestones also. There are so many good ways they can think of to release codestones.
