Ad Blocking

Wed Feb 15, 2006 9:59 am

Is there any way I can block the ad at the bottom of the page without Ad-Block? I'm using FF and Ad-Aware.

Adblock's your best bet. It's the easiest way by far.

IE & Netscape

Step 1: Put the following into a word processor and save as a .css file of your name choice and your location (remember where it is).

div.ban,div#ban {
display: none !important;
}

Step 2: Go to "Tools" in top pulldown and select 'Internet Options' at the bottom
Step 3: Go to 'Accessibility' in the bottom right.
Step 4: Select User Format Sheet toggle box
Step 5: Select your document.
Step 6: Click "Ok" and exit

Thanks for the advice, guys! But how do you block the ads at the bottom of the page?

I actually use

@-moz-document domain(neopets.com){
div#ban{display:none;}
div#bottomban{display:none;}
td.tl > object{display:none;}
#mb + form{display:none !important;}
}

That covers top, bottom, and those irritating NP offer banners. Thank Dolphinling!

But I'm using FireFox. I've read through the post here: http://www.pinkpt.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... 85&#447985

But it doesn't work for removing the bottom one.

But do you know if that actually stops the ad from loading, or only hides it?

For me, the ad on top just disappear...

So, does anyone knows how to remove the bottom ad for firefox?

EDIT: Ok, I know how to do it already.
