Faerie Quests and Pet stat boosts

Tue Feb 07, 2006 11:43 pm

I've been really lucky and getting a ton of faerie quests lately, after a dry spell of not seeing any for a long time. No complaints there!

I have noticed though, with all the quests I have had since I adopted my new Lupe, he is the one who gets all the stat boosts. Do faeries always help out your weakest pet? That's kind of a bummer since I want my main pet to be my battle pet and it's way more expensive to train her than him.

Or is it just random and I've been unlucky?

I always thought they helped your active pet.

no, i'm pretty sure they pick a random pet.

Its random...but it does always seem like they pick every single pet except your battle pet (the solution would be just to have 1 pet...but who would want to do that?)

I've actually been wondering about something lately...

Though it does seem to go to a random pet, the pet that I almost never have active has been getting the benefits of faerie quests much more than any other. Probably just coincidence, but I thought I'd throw it out there in case anyone else has experienced that.

I completely understand how you feel. I wouldn't mind stat boosts for any of my pets except for one, my lab pet, because there is no point in it. And I got 3 faerie quests last night (it was insane), and all three of them boosted my lab pet. And he is not my active pet either. :x But Ill be ok I guess.

Maybe it's *not* as random as it seems? I'll have to keep track. :)

With a possible war in the distance, I'd hate to have my main pet to not be all that she can be. Heh.

Either way, quests rule. Cheapest way to boost a pet. :)

It's not random at all. Each faerie selects a pet to X places right of your pet (X changes per faerie, but it's the same for that faerie every time).

I think PinkPT has a guide to this on it's front page.

I thought the IDB forums had tested and disproved that some time ago, although people would like it to be true.

If there's a website or guide about it, I'd be interested to see it, though.

Yeah, I always have the same pet active, but I know two of my other pets have been blessed for the same stat.

The easiest solution to this (that I figured out a long time ago) is to only have 1 pet.

I figured that it alternated between pets. since i have 2 pets, i've seen that it has always alternated who got the boosts, but it might be coincidence

You're lucky to at least get that :( Mine usually end up going to my oldest pet (my original pet), even though she isn't the active pet in the quest, and I have 4 pets. Her stats are great...but I can't say that about my other pets.

It's been all random with me. I had a flurry of quests too, a few weeks ago. All my pets got boosted, my lab as well as my battle pet.
