Lenny Conundrum #145

Wed Nov 30, 2005 10:18 pm

Dear ___,

Congratulations! You have guessed correctly in the Lenny Conundrum game (round 144). You have won 690 NP!

Because you were in the first 250 to guess correctly, you also have been awarded a Turkey Dinner, and receive a trophy and the Lenny Conundrum avatar!

Yours Sincerely,
The Neopets Team!

I got a gold trophy, yay! I had silver before, so I'm really happy. :)

Solution: Six words in the LC were missing letters. Those six words were:

prolem = missing a b
Whinies = missing an n
seprated = missing an a
irretrevably = missing an i
colorful = missing a u (remember that British spelling!)
Ye Olde Petpet = missing an s (on the end)

BNAIUS, when unscrambled, makes ANUBIS. And that was the answer -- like I said in the other thread, the "clue" about asking Sarah the help Zafara about petpets was wrong. That led you to a FAQ from back during a little mini-plot when all our petpets went missing for a few days and ended up being in a giant green pile of jelly.

Answer found by rearranging the missing letters in the passage. Colorful is colourful, English spellings.

:) I got a second place trophy, well done Cranberry!
Nice that it was released earlier, though shame it was Thanksgiving for me. I live in the UK, so it was great timing. Maybe would have got gold, but I won't resent that, I'm still happy with I what I have.

One of Conundrum Lenny's most cherished possessions is the complete set of the very rare "Caring For Your Neopets" books (volumes 1 though 5). Each book is 62 millimetres thick, which includes the front and back covers, which are 4 millimetres thick each.

One evening, he sat down and opened one of the books and there was a hole in it! How could this be? It turned out a Wormoeba had eaten through the books, starting on the first page of Volume 1 and eating all the way to the last page of Volume 5.

If the Wormoeba had eaten through the books in the most direct route possible, how many millimetres did the Wormoeba travel? Please submit your answer as a number.

Do you know the answer?!?

*edit I think I finally got it. :D

answer to new LC

0:) I think I know what it is but still am a little unsure of myself. It seems to be a trick question I think!? 0:)

He says that 'It turned out a Wormoeba had eaten through the books, starting on the first page of Volume 1 and eating all the way to the last page of Volume 5'. He doesn't mention the front and back covers of the 1st and last volumes. Maybe I am just reading this wrong or maybe I am right. Still unsure but I already submitted my answer, so I will be interested to find out what everyone else comes up with.

I dont think its like that, its too simple

I looked over it again and now I get two different answers. Just because of something on the Lenny made me think of solving it only one way. I guess I will just have to wait and see which is the right answer when it gets judged.

I know the answer, feel free to mail me and vertify what you have got :)

It cannot be as simple as I think it is, but I submitted the simple answer anyway.

I think they are trying to trick us in this one making us think that the answer is too easy to be true. I mean, I read the problem quite a few times and the answer seems very simple.

Ugh, can't believed I missed that. I got the one trick someone mentioned, not going through two covers, but also, look at the picture and think about where the different pages are.

Well spotted mrlrules. I guess the payout will also be low.

Thanks cranberry for the last one - wouldve missed ) .7K if i sticked with my answers.

Oops! forgot the decimal.

Wow, that was... insanely easy. Just be careful you don't make a silly mistake. I wish Lenny Conundrums would be harder...
