Well, my friend brought her laptop over and hooked it up. While she was busy, I started playing some games on neopets (namely petpetsitter) and it started lagging like crazy making the game really easy to play because she has an older laptop. I sent score and got the avatar.
Will it be considered cheating playing games on a laggy computer? I don't want to be frozen. I'm kind of regretting sending the score now...

I have played many games on my slow old computer and was never frozen. I have heard of it happening to other people, but not for a long long time now.

I got the petpetsitter avatar that way, too. Believe me, I would have sped it up if I could have (it's SO BORING when it's that slow), but even making the quality low and the window small and closing down all other programs didn't help. I didn't get frozen. Quite a few games are slower than they should be for me because of my old computer, and I've never been warned or anything.

I got a Gold Skies over Merridel Trophy recently thanks to a combination of amazing skill and amazing laggy computer

I doubt you'd get frozen just because you can't afford a newer computer...

I got my avvie that way too since my laptop is uber ancient and slow. I could be wrong but I think the whole game slows down once so many petpets are on the loose regardless of computer speed. I'd imagine hundreds of roaming petpets would be an overload for anyone.
Anyhoo, congrats with your avvie!
