For Neopets ONLY discussion.

I'm not going to tell you how I found an ID, but the first thing I said was "your site is corrupt". I did not think I would get a responce but I did. It said thanks, with which I replied "anytime" etc etc. Then another id logged in, where I asked for further assistance. A much more pleasant convo ensued, and I offered my screen name. Think I'll get frozen because of the spiteful comments said first?

Neopets Staff, will
never attempt to speak with you outside of
http://www.neopets.com
Who ever you spoke to well ... is not legit.

Outside all claims of legitimacy ... that was not a smart thing to do.

Because of the number of scams I've heard about where people on IM claim to be from TNT, I'd be highly skeptical of their claim. I'm not going to say not to talk to the person. But, if you feel like pursuing any further conversations, be very careful not to give out any more information, even your email address.
There have been recorded instances of someone from TNT communicating with players outside of the site (happened here on these forums recently), but it's been RARE and very limited.

It was them.. they gave it on the site a LOOOONG time ago for a promotion about a certain movie, and did a whole aim skit.

As long as you did not give anything but your screen name, I think you'll be fine. After all, it's not a violation of the T&C to give your opinion is it?
Be very, very careful about assuming old user names (once used for promotional purposes) are still in use by the same individuals, though. Best bet is to ask for proof. As was previously mentioned, a member of TNT recently visited these forums. He was able to prove his identity through a user lookup change on the site. In other words, the person claiming to be a member of TNT was actually able to change that TNT member's neopets lookup, thereby proving themselves to be that member of TNT.

Ask them if they work here:
If they say yes then tell them to get back to work! If they agree with you then the staff member is real.

But anyone can say they work there.
I could say I work there, but you can't prove that I don't
