Trading pets - against the rules?

Alright..so..I had lost one of my Neopets in a transfer because I was logged out..and one of my friends took note of who owns it now and is thinking about trading one of her painted pets to the new owner in trade for my pet back..it's very sweet of her but..

My question is..is this against the rules? I don't want myself nor my friend, not even the new owner of my pet to be frozen because of this..

EDIT: Girl wants my friend's Cloud Chomby. I friend and her are planning on doing the transfer soon. I'm happy I can possibly get my pet back!!

The only way to be frozen for this is to have them report you..... But since this type of thing is discouraged; if the person tried to scam you, there is nothing you can do about it.

My friend and I are both aware of that..

Guess we'll wait a bit and see what the new owner says..thanks anyways. ^^;
