Just a random question, but does Neopets follow daylight savings time?
Sun Oct 30, 2005 6:09 am
Yep, the magic little time thing gizmo is always updated for DST.

I believe so- I guess they'll switch at 2 AM. After all, it does affect their business hours.

The same way everyone else follows it, very poorly.
Just joking. I have no clue.

There's only one or two states (I think) that don't follow the whole daylight savings thing. California isn't one of those states, so yes, they will "fall back" an hour. I hate it, here this means it'll be dark by 4 p.m. ... cold's not enough I guess?

If I recall, its Arizona, Hawaii, and parts of Indiana (but starting 2006 they'll observe it) who don't take DST into effect.
And just for those who aren't familiar with it... this is how time will work in about 2 hours:
1:59:57 am
1:59:58 am
1:59:59 am
1:00:00 am (what would be 2am turns back into 1am)
1:00:01 am
1:00:02 am
...
EXTRA HOUR OF SLEEP

I prefer 'Spring foward'. It is a lot easier to reset my clocks that way.

No, this is much better, cause we get an hour of sleep, instead of losing an hour of sleep during spring forward.

You're making that argument to someone who is up all night watching [AS] anyway. Sleep is not something that I get normally.

True true, and I personally do love sleep tremendously
, so i guess we shall agree to disagree

Daylight savings time has already taken effect for me (central.) I stayed up an hour "later" than I normally do to run through my dailies before going to bed - only to realize that TNT won't reset the neo clock until 2AM NST - which means I've got another hour to wait!
I'm blonde! It's my only excuse!

So get an hour of sleep tonight.
Does anyone else remember when the snowager used to be at 1 AM NST, so you could get two snowagers in a row at DST?

People were talking on my guild message board all night, and I can't see where the clock went back... if it happened at 2, then no one talked for an hour, which is odd. The time of the posts went from 1:54am to 2:17am right away. I went through 11 pages to last night, and couldn't find where the clocks set back, all the time goes in order, but the clocks are set properly now.

I work overnight, so I ended up working an extra hour because of DST! I didn't mind, though -- I work at a store and it's never busy in the middle of the night, so I did all my work and then read my book (Steve Martin's
Shopgirl) for an extra hour.
