Umm... this is going to sound really stupid, and none are you are going to believe it, but still please have the decency to answer the question for at least those you do believe.
I've had an account on nepoets for a while (nothing special), and have subsequently forgotten which of my two email addresses I signed up with (my family or my forum and online games email address), and I've let my little sister sign up with my email adress(she's 10,I won't lie and say she's 7, she just isn't responsible enough to maintain an email address) which as it turns out is the same as the one my account is signed up with.
(I know I should have made her an email before making her account, so don't point it out)
My question is, is there any way for us too both keep our accounts(I won't mind not using free events, if that is the cost.) unfrozen and unharmed?
I would like a response before 10/26(my birthday) as I wan't to get the birthday sidebar and that is a free event so... yeah
PS: I'm not one of those newbs who leaves after one (1ll33t3r473{illlitterate}) post and a reply, I'm one of those newbies who stays and everyone starts to hate him about post count 50-90 and he can't work out why.

All you should do is simply point out on your user lookup that different people are using the accounts from the same IP.
That's what I did, and then you can enjoy all the free features.

Um... sorry but... user lookup?

Yep.
Right in the About Me section, you're meant to write something along the lines of: "To TNT", or "Dear TNT", and explain about the two accounts coming from one IP. It'll show up on your lookup and that way they know you're not using multiple accounts to gain profit.
I have something similar put up.

If you both have the same e-mail address then what you want to do is create a new e-mail address for yourself. Then go on Neopets, go to the neoboards and at the top click on User Preferences. Then go to Change Your Email and you enter your new e-mail adress along with your password and it will be changed. You'll then be on a different e-mail from your sister (you could change either yours or your sisters - whichever is easier for you).
On your lookup if you want to say that there are two people playing neopets in your house just follow Xerophyte's instructions - go to User Preferences again, and this time scroll down to the big box beside About Me. There just write in what ever you want to put on your lookup - for just plain writing that is center aligned you could try entering this:
- Code:
<div align="center"></i><br>To TNT - please be aware that both me and my sister play Neopets from this IP, thank you :)<br></div>
Just write whatever you want or play around with the above. The div part is just telling it to be centre aligned which looks nice, the <br> are like hitting return on a keyboard and the < / i > is telling it not to be in itallics as it will try to otherwise. Sorry if you already knew all that

Wow, Trick, said everything I would have said. But so clear and concise.
One thing, however. When you make the email change request, it doesn't automatically go through anymore (though it used to). Instead, Neopets will send an email to your new email address with a link. You have to click the link in order for the change to take place.
And, honestly, getting two separate email addresses is the best idea. That way you can both get the daily freebies, play games, and not have to worry about getting frozen. We have 3 family members in this house who play Neo. Each with our own email address. And each of us does the dailies, plays games. And, it has been almost 3 years now.

Ok, I went help, userprefs, and all it has is the following:
My Profile
My Profile | Site Preferences
This page is where you can change your password. If you wish to change any other settings please click on the 'Preferences' link above.
Old Password (required)
Your old password is required to make any changes to your personal information.
New Password
Confirm Password
that is ALL there is on the whole page, and in Site Preferences I have the following options:
Bandwidth Settings
Block Battledome Challenges
Block Guild Invitations
Block Neofriend Requests
Only Neofriends Can Contact
Only Neofriends Can Give You Items
Plain Text Neomail
User Status
Flash Game Challenges
Sidebar Theme
And I cant access the boards.
Honest to god, I believe you, I'm not just being stubborn, but those two pages dont even include the word email

Hmm, is your account maybe an under 13 one? If so the options may be different and the only real way around it is to either get the parental permission form handed in (found here:
http://www.neopets.com/coppa/consentform.phtml and info about it here:
http://www.neopets.com/s/index.phtml?track_cat_id=30&item_id=204&track_start_point_id=204) which takes effect pretty quickly, or to write to neopets explaining your position. The parental form would probably be the best way, especially if you are already 12 anyway
Then those options would probably be available to you.
If it's not that then I'm really not sure

Do they actually check if there are multiple accounts on the same IP? There must be millions of accounts - surely they don't have the time & resources to do so?
