I hope to enter the NT with a quite good article and so I would like to know what kind of item you can get if you enter?
And if you already got in, what did you got?

The 4 times I've gotten into the NT, I got a trophy and some NP, I think. No items, though, as far as I can remember.

I dunno, maybe it's changed, those were won ages ago, haven't submitted anything in for the past few months ^^;

I didn't get anything for my article published 2 months ago. I too was confused about it at one point...

And if you want my opinion (of course you do ) writers deserve items just as much as everyone else.

Unlike beauty contest or Caption Contest I guess they think TNT is not a contest ... so no prizes or NP.

Doesn't it matter of what it's focusing on? I barely got 1k word limit with my Pterattack guide I sent in.
Just matters on what you're typing up...if it's in-dept it'll be very long, while tip and tricks will be short.

I've won NT 5 times now and have never gotten any NP. Just a trophy...and weird n-mails at times.

There are no prizes for entering the neopian times, except a shiny trohpy on your lookup and an avatar after 10x publications. In the past occasionally the editor would give an item for special issues, however, as of a few months ago, there is a new editor who may or may not choose to follow suit.

The art gallery gives a rare item. Could be anything from a codestone to a petpet to a paint brush.

Yeah, there are no items given out.

However, the old editor, Feli, did give some out ocassionaly. I personally got a present for getting in the Halloween issue. I think she did that for Christmas and stuff like that too.

But I don't know about the new editor.

Question: How many words would you guy say the Articles/Stories average out to be?

For articles specifically, I'd seriously cap it at 5000 words (9-10 pages typed, doublespace size 12)

Mine was maybe 1500.
