A bit of gallery advice

Fri Jul 02, 2004 3:35 am

My apologies to those who may be reading this again. I'm just hunting for second opinions. :)

Ok...for those of you who don't know...and for those of you who do know...I have been keeping a music gallery for some time.

http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=kria (images are currently down for me *snaps* It really does look much better with them.)

Now the idea behind this gallery is bascially include anything the produces music...musical instruments (including band souveniers, toys and BD weapons), singing petpets and songbooks. The idea is that you just walked into your local music store. You'd find instruments, songbooks etc...the singing petpets and plants are there for atmosphere.

But now I'm in a bit of a dilemma.

Because there are not many musical items in existance, I have also included the albums of the various bands and speakers.

But now that musical intruments have been released, I'm pondering selling all of these filler items (those speakers would make a very nice profit) to help buy more relevent stuff.

But if the speakers (since they actually do make a sound) are kinda grey area...I'm wondering if I really do need them. They were expensive to get and I don't want to have to save up like that again.

I'm not really asking if I should keep or sell. I could part with them easily. But given what you already know about the theme...how relevent do you guys think they are fitting in amoung the rest of the items?

I think I'm going to sell the CDs no matter what....take a few items off my wishlist...

I think you should leave everything the way it is and just add more items! It's great!!

P.S. - I sent you a Gruundo Guitar! :)

I personally like the speakers. They're nice, and I think that they do fit the theme well. ^_^

I sent you a trombone to help with the instrument part. :)

I think you should keep both the CDs and the speakers. Or at least keep them in your plans for when it's complete. Perhaps you should drop them to the end of your list until you've gotten the rest of the items bought, but I would definantly say they're a part of your theme.

But that's just me :)

Yeah, I'd keep them, you might change your mind and want them later! :) I certainly feel they fit the theme well.

I think you should keep the speakers, they really fit the music theme. :)

Oh gosh.

I sincerely hope these were items that you had lying around.

Thank you all very much! *hugs*

I love it. :D I bookmarked it so that I can hopfully see the images later.

I really like what you have going, because not only is it musical stuff that people can HEAR it off of, but many that people can create them with.

While I have no instrument to send you, GOOD LUCK. it looks great. ^^;

yeah, i say keep the CD's, speakers, and everything that relates to music... as long as its not a "Jazz" gallery or something its fine! If it truely is a "music" gallery, then everything musical should go in it! And that includes band stuff!
