Looks a lot like an armadillo to me... Too bad it doesn't roll up into a ball (armadillos do... right?)
It looks like it has a mass of whiskers too... which looks really stupid to me.

Yeah it is more armadillo-ish and I do beleive the only armadillo that can curl up is the nine banded armadillo and one other type that slips my mind. Most armadillos can't curl up into a ball.
It's still not very mutant like and now it can't even be told to be darigan...for obvious reasons. *hugs her pet*
