2 computer questions....neopets related

Tue Aug 30, 2005 8:09 pm

Hello all.

I have two questions about the Neopets site for folks.

1) Does anyone have the image urls for Symol Hole and Geraptiku Tomb? For some reason, my computer is blocking those images. If anyone has an idea why those images are blocked, the help would be appreciated.

2) I'm using the Firefox browser and basically every other page at the bottom, I'm seeing the following:

" '); } var cookie_name = 'AdCom702411'; var g_c = 'AdComGb'; setCookie(g_c,'1',8760); if (document.cookie.indexOf(g_c)!=-1 ){ if (document.cookie.indexOf(cookie_name)==-1){ setCookie(cookie_name,'1',24); writeBanner('702411'); }else{ var v = getCookie(cookie_name); if (v < 3){ writeBanner('704156'); v++; setCookie(cookie_name,v,24); }else if(v < 19){ writeBanner('704157'); v++; setCookie(cookie_name,v,24); }else{ call3rdParty(); } } }else{ call3rdParty(); } // -->"

I have e-mailed the tech team at Neopets, submitted bug reports, and submitted ad reports. And I've been doing those things for months and months and months now.

This code throws off the whole alignment of the page. Does anyone else have this problem? Or does anyone have an idea of how to block it, if that is even possible?

Thanks so much for any help provided! :)

I can help you on the first, but I use IE, so I can't on the second. :)

Do you have Adblock installed? That might be the problem regarding the images. To check, go to Tools > Adblock > Preferences, and look through the list of blocked items and unblock them.

On the second one, I have no clue. I run Firefox and I never encounter that problem. I am however sure that the problem is not on the Neopets side, but on your side of this.

Do you use Norton's ad blocking?

I think thats what makes that code appear

Yes, I have Norton Internet Security and it does block ads, though not as well as Firefox. This could be the problem, but I am unsure how to go about changing anything to get rid of that code.
