Hi I'm kinda of a newbie in neopets and I was wondering how do you get you're pets to be so amazingly strong! I have been training for a week and I can't even beat The Pant Devil.I'm also going broke

Im afraid you need about 500k for the lab ray (might be able to get it for 450k) and that will make your pet get very strong very fast.

Problem with the lab ray is that your stats can go up and down in a whim.
The best way is through the Academy I'd imagine... or whichever your more accessible too. If you're tapped into the dubloons ... go to the academy. If you're tapped into the codestones... go to the one at mystery island.
Kitchen quests (also at mystery island) CAN be useful, but obviously its not going to give you a stat boost every time, as well as going to the wrong pet if you have more than 1.
You've got to invest a lot.

Training can be expensive, but at the very least requires your attention.
Here's the basic skinny:
If you are below level 40, it's cheaper to use the pirate training school...dubloons=cheaper.
Don't train agility - it doesn't do anything, so it's a waste of money.
Your stats can be up to twice your level, except hit points, which can be up to three times your level. So train STR, DEF, and Endurance (HP), then level. And so on and so forth.
That should be a good start. Good luck.

but a two dubbloon cost about 2.9-3k
some codestones can go around 2.8-4k
So its cheaper to go dubloon when your level
=or is <20
a five dubloon costs 9-10k
while 2codestones can cost 7-10k
So its cheaper and faster to go codeston when your level
is <20

Another way is to wait until it is your Neopet Species day!
If i am not wrong, you can get up to 2 trainings totally free. Yes 2. In other words, you may get 2 levels ++ for free.
Another way is actually camping out at the money tree. At times, people are very generous to donate some weapons you may find very useful.

It does in later stages, like with the Heavy Robe of Thievery (100% stealer when you have over 100 INT and 200 AGI, I think). But, I agree with Shapu on everything else.

If you're worried about beating the pant devil, it's a fair bet you don't have 200 agility.
My agility has gone up a bunch due to kitchen quests. That and the lab are pretty much how I train, now. Which would explain how I started with a male yellow Lupe and now have a female speckled shoyru.

For my pet, Neomachine (now 1 week 2 days old!) I make about 100k before I started training. I used codestones instead of dubloons, since codestone training takes 1/2 the time dubloons do. While my pet was in the school, I did kitchen quests. Also, I visited Coltzen's shrine daily and always got a stat boost. I also got two Water Faerie quests in one day (weird, I know) and got +2 defence.

Yes!
With a little training here are my pet's stats
Name : deoxy232
Species : Grundo
Agility : 13 (breakneck)
Attack Strength : 21 (GREAT (21))
Defence Strength : 18 (demi-godly)
Current hp: 22 / 22
Level : 11
I even beat the ghost lupe
I'm so happy.
