Choosing a battling pet.

Sun Jul 03, 2005 9:43 pm

As of right now I have a Hissi and a Chia. I am finally getting in to the battledome, but I really can't decide who to use for my battling pet. I want my Hissi to stay as a Hissi for sure, so if I lab her, I could risk species change and have to pay money for a morphing potion. However, the Chias have horrible species weapons and horrible abilities, and I was planning on making it a Pea Chia. However, should I just abandon that idea?

I really don't want to make new pets by the way. But I could always transfer the Hissi to a side account.

Quite a dilemma. :(

Hi King

Hmmm, that is a dilemma. I wouldn't want to lab a hissi either. The chia you could use general weapons for, you don't have to go species specific. That could actually save you in the long run if you are going to lab your battle pet.

Species-wise, kacheeks, elephantes and lupes(?) have some nice species weapons/healers. And pteris are easy to heal if someone poisons them - just feed them anything with worm in it. Weapon-wise though, I don't think pteris have anything really special. Nothing I've heard about anyway.

I say go with whatever pet you like or just lab your chia until you can make him a pea, then stop labbing and straight codestone train. Get regular weapons. Just my opinion :)

I think that perhaps you should train your Hissi other ways than the Lab Ray (Training School etc.) and 'Lab your Chia until it becomes Pea. After that, you can see who has the highest stats, and keep training that pet. (I wouldn't suggest using the Lab, though, to train, if you're worried about species changing.)

IMO between the two the chia would be the best, only because you can lab it. If you are willing to get another pet, like everconfused said Kacheeks and Elephantes are your best bets, only because of species healers. Lennys and Lupes also have some nice species freezers.
