New Guild Feature

Fri Jun 03, 2005 9:52 pm

You can now quit leadership of your guild and give it to the guilds co-owner.

Useful.
I've known many guilds where the leader seems to be less active than the co-owner for whatever reason. So they should be able to switch. :P

Plus it can also come in handy if the guild leader is just going on vacation for a bit.

But I guess it can also cause problems. If the co owner won't want to give the leader their leadership back and steals the guild, for example.

I think it's a great idea, since many guilds end because of the leader. I ended my (rather small) guild because I just didn't feel interested in any more. If I could have given it to my co-leader I wouldn't feel as bad and it would also have taken a weight off of my chest.

Then you shouldn't even give co-leadership to someone you don't trust.

But I guess it's the same scenario as giving your w0rd out...

You think you can trust them but in the end they end up scamming you...

That's just it, you would trust them. Completely. Because they've helped raise guild till money, they've helped with HTML codes and referring members to the guild. But then it would turn out they were only doing it to earn your trust and eventually take over your guild.

Nice to know TNT implemented this option only a couple of days after I deleted my guild and got another account to restart it meaning half of the members (there were over 300) probably won't join up again. Grrr :x Ah well, that's the way the cookie crumbles I suppose.

grr. that happened to me awhile ago. after that, melody never got back on its feet again, consequently why it closed down. Oh, well. At least they now have the option :)

Wow that could have saved the Blissful Wishes guild I was on in my main account. :o

The leader had gotten frozen. One of the council members took over but had to restart the guild and ask every member to rejoin.

I rejoined on a side account.

To bad when a leader gets frozen the guild can't just transfer down to the next person in line automaticly. It would be a denfinite plus ;)

Yep that would be great.. but what if the guild leader would get her/his account back? i dont think tnt would consider that :(
