Questions about np forum signatures

How come people don't put the link to their gallery or shop in their forum signatures?

Not everyone wants the world to know their neo username, for whatever reason. I don't, mostly for privacy, not because I'm rich or anything (which I'm not). I just don't like putting too much information anywhere about myself. I don't really think it's a good idea and leaves a person more open to someone trying to scam/crack/hack them.

No, I mean on the neopets site.
Even in the gallery board, the users post, "Look at my gallery" and you've got to go to their userlookup to get at it.
Seems like it'd be easier for everyone to have it in the sig.

Ah! I see now 
Well some people do have links in their sigs on the site, but unless you do them just right, they show up as -blocked-, so it can be a pain.
I see alot people with links to their bc entries or petpages more than anything else.
Plus, you can't always trust even an inside link, as has been found out the hard way by some people with auction links.

It only shows up as -Link Blocked- if they put the www in front of it.
Best way to do it is just to write the location as "neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=whoeverisposting" on a separate line, and have people cut and paste it.

Most people just make their signature thing a design. Or some text. Its really annoying when someone puts text infront of and after their message though.

Well, its just kinda annoying for me.
Its fine if you can clearly tell what is the main message though.

It seems like being able to turn off the sigs and smilies and all that should be an option.

It seems like being able to turn off the sigs and smilies and all that should be an option.
I wish we could turn off sigs and that markup stuff, whatever it's called. I hate when I can't tell between their actual message or their added junk in the message post.
