Stockmarket change

Tue May 17, 2005 9:15 pm

There is now a clickable java button that shows individual share groups in your portfolio. The main portfolio screen shows total value and % change of all of your shares in each company.

Looks sharp, IMO. Nice touch.

Oh, I like =) That is a much better layout now, it's far easier to see all your shares at a glance. Quite funky in it's execution too.

Much better definitely. I'm impressed with the trades and stockmarket tweaks :)

Ah yes thats a lot better :D

I like it but it'll take some getting used to.

I love my new portfolio. I always hated counted my shares manually. The only thing that looks weird is all the infomation without bold. o_O

Whoa. That's a great improvement for once *loves it* O.o

Now that is really handy! Nice job, I was counting up my stocks a couple of days ago thinking "I wish they'd put some kind of 'total' at the bottom to save me the effort' and here it is 8)

I think it is a bit repetitive. The drop down is the same information in a slightly different format.

I didn't even notice all those new totals at the bottom at first :D Now I can see how many stocks overall I have, how much I've paid and made overall and the over all +/- of all my shares. Fantastic! No more fiddly work with calculating it all with a calculator and losing track half a dozen times =)

I love the new changes too. It makes it so much easier to see what stock you should buy (don't have to keep refering back to other pages now)

The totals are neat too. I like knowing how much of the value of my portfolio is due to appreciation and how much is what i paid into it.

I'm glad that all the funky drop down stuff works in firefox as well. Not to mention the fact that the regular stock page isn't visualy differnt unless you click on a stock (thank goodness)

And last but not least i'm glad that TNT is finaly paying some attention to the stock market again.

Now if only they would increase the number of stocks you could buy a day like they promised in the editorial.

Yep, even to double it to 2000 would be a great help - it's taken me over 6 months of buying stocks virtually every day to achieve a half-decent-sized portfolio.

Heehee, you too? Total pain in the neck wasn't it?

May I offer my thanks to anyone from TNT involved with implementing this new feature who might see this thread - you may have saved my sanity!

I hardly ever use the Stock Market, but I like this. It's shiny, and a lot less confusing visually. *collapses and expands POWL stock over and over*
Edit: OMG! Shapu changed his set! *faints and has to be revived by nearby mods*

Actually not, no, as soon as you bought a same stock at different prizes it's quite helpful. While the dropdown lists every of your purchases seperated, the general overview automatically gives you the average Change, which is quite handy. (dropdown list gives: 1000 Bott bought at 15, current 21, +40%. 1000 Bott bought at 17, current 21, + 24%, the general overview gives: Bott, paid 32,000, open 42,000, + 32%)

*feels like he's nitpicking*

It's nice to finally know how many shares total I have, without spending 5 mins counting... :)

If it were up to me, I would have alphabetized it instead. I dont' really care for the inconsistency between that screen's order and the order of the full list from which you make purchases.

The sell screen is still woefully lacking in order o_O

Yay, I can finally dump those shares that have gone bankrupt!
