Why are you hogging all the Gallions? They are rare, and other people would like to have them...

I don't think I am hogging ALL of them, there's always a few of them for sale...

I know you dont have every one in Neopia. It just seems kind of unfair that you have so many when they are not the kind of petpet that you can find in the shops every day. I am sure you worked hard for them, but they are sitting there on display while other people would do anything to get one. Thats the problem... there's only a few. They are unbuyable on the shopwiz, and the Meridell petpet shop only sell one every few months or so. I can understand why you have one of each painted color, but why not share the others?

Actually, they're only r90, meaning they stock everyday. And I'm not the only one collecting gallions, It's only because I have no space in my shop that I put them in trades. I don't see the problem of collecting them, I worked hard for mine, and I don't think you can say I'm hogging the gallions just because I have more than others.

Being r90 does not mean they restock every day. If that were the case, more people would have them. TNT ultimately decides how many to release, and they keep Gallions more rare than others. I am not saying its a bad thing to have a collection or a gallery, but its obvious that youve had your gallions for awhile. I just dont understand why you have so many of the same kind.

I replied:

Actually, r90 does mean they stock everyday. People do have lots of them, just that they don't put them in trades. And as you've said, there's nothing wrong with having a collection, so why are you picking on me and my collection?

TNT can control the release of any item.
It just seems selfish, thats all.

Yes, they can. But they arent for the gallion. Just search for gallions on the shop wiz and you'll see how many there are.

I already said that having a collection isnt a bad thing. I just dont understand why you keep several petpets just to put them on display. You seem pretty into the game. Wouldnt they like to be attached to a pet or something?

At which point she blocked me from mailing her.

What I want to say is, is it wrong to have a collection? The only reason why my gallions are up on the trading post is because my shop has been converted to a gallery and there's not enough space... So when was it wrong to have a collection and have people telling you off saying you have too much of an item?

It's not wrong to have a collection of the same thing. I have over 100 Zero pictures.

I think that they were just attempting (a pretty bad attempt, I must say) to make you feel guilty and get you to give your Gallions up (or even to them). And it is not wrong to have a collection. Besides, you saved up for the petpets so they're yours whether that user likes it or not. Who are they to tell you what you can and cannot do with your Gallions?

hehe..too bad, money talks. it applies in neopets as well. i have nothing against players who like to collect a particular item. what i am less impressed with are players who ask for voluntary donations to their "collection".

I guess it depends on how many of an item one has. If you have say 100 of a useless item people wont complain, but if it's so much as 5 of an item rarity 90 and above people will send angry emails and maybe, like this girl, try to guilt trip you into giving them one. It does, however, irk me when someone hoards a lot of a really rare item for what appears to be no particular reason, things like this often cause inflation.

I undestand people sometimes gets angry with others for hoarding items, but does that really warrant such mails? It's not as if Gallions are retired, so there's always more coming out. So I really don't understand why people get into such a fuss... Besides, I'm not the only person collecting gallions, or any items for that matter...

I think she was irked because she wanted a gallion. Obviosly, she wanted one or she wouldn't have found you in the shop wiz. If you had enough np to buy them, you have every right to do whatever you wish. Do you have any idea how many people have stuff like that in their SDB? I can name many friends who have rare petpets, paintbrushes, stamps, books, gourmet food, etc. in their SDB just incase of a rainy day. You never know when things will rise in price or come in handy. You just chose to keep them where you did. It's all good. Don't let her worry you. Good job on collecting them, btw.

Look, did you earn the np fair and square? Did you work hard for it? Then you do whatever you want with it. Yeah, it sucks if someone's got 50 faerie p/b's and then gets frozen. But they probably got frozen because they cheated ot get the p/b's in the first place (not all of the time, I'm sure). The galleon's aren't retired. If she, or anyone else, wants one, they can earn the np and hunt them down just like you did.

it doesnt bother me when people hoard rare items. as long as they're not retired items.
as long as they're still being stocked, no one can have ALL of them.
