Newbie Packs for Not so Newbies

You qualify for a NEWBIE PACK!
A newbie pack is a couple of toys and some food that all new players get! It's our way of saying Welcome to Neopets! You can feed and play with your pet to make it happy and content.
I just found this when clicking into my inventory. I've been playing for 4 years, why would I qualify for a newbie pack? Is it a glitch?
I haven't gotten my newbie pack yet, just in case I get frozen or something.

You can collect it whenever you want, since it's rightfully yours.
I collected mine after three years of playing. (and got some pretty PBs... which I unfortunately can't put in my shop gallery. =0\ )

A few people had newbie packs appear in their accounts recently - when they'd already had newbie packs when they started up, and they had items in their inventory when it happened 
Some kind of glitch maybe? The neoboards were going daft about it apparently.

It happened to me a couple years ago as well. I know for a fact that I got a newbie pack twice on the same account.

Huh. I had an 11 month account, have collected my newbie pack on it, and had items in my inventory. Today, I got an offer above my items to collect a newbie pack. I collected it, and sure enough got everything.

I wouldn't collect it if my sister had already...I'd just leave it there for the newbie pack to ever be there and to ever grow..

Can I just say I really hate these starter paintbrushes.

Same thing just happened to me. Only it's a 16 months account. So yeah for me.
I got a Green and a Red Starter Paint Brush.
It would be nice if you could at least display them in a gallery but on the plus side if the lab ray turns my pet a truly awful color I can change it to red or green for free.
