Ugh! I just went to check on the status of the multiplayer games that nobody ever showed up for, and it now asks to send a SECOND move or lose. How irritating, lol.
I'm guessing this is going to foil those people who sit on a game after...what is it, 4 days? so they can win. I hope this works out well, I was just surprised by it, and a little irritated to have to wait another day for people who have not logged in in a week.
And they haven't finished it, my Armada game has the I Win button but when I click it it just refreshes the page.

Now, the multiplay games system is something that needs an overhaul. Hopefully one that is better than the referal program makeover

Really?
Oh great. Another 24hs... Those Newbs will also hang on longer. Bahhh !!!
TNT make good revamps at times and hopelessly bad ones too...

*rolls eyes* My Armada opponent is frozen, so maybe that's why clicking the 'I Win!' button does nothing. I don't even know if that's worthy of a bug report.

Argh, that sucks, after all the times we've mailed them about how unfair the old system was?! This is even worse!
That's soooooo irritating :/

I've seriously stopped trying. Every month I'd sign up and play fair, but my opponents would screw me over. I won a kacheekers trophy, but I gave up on ever getting the other two.

The "I Win" button is broken for me too. I just tried clicking on it for both my Armada and Kacheekers games. The page just refreshes, and nothing else happens. This is so discouraging. I'm hoping it's just a glitch...

That might help for those annoying players that just move every tother day after the move or loose has been sent making it impossible to finish a game.
Mon Apr 04, 2005 6:16 pm
Chipper, I don't see how it's going to help. Clicking on the "I Win" button doesn't do anything at all now....
Mon Apr 04, 2005 7:25 pm
That's idiotic.
If anything, the move or lose option needs to be activated earlier. Otherwise, its impossible to finsh a game because people only move every other day as Chipper mentioned.
I also think that those of us who are able to neomail each other should not have to play those who can't. That way, at least there is always the possiblity of communication.

The system just needs a total rehaul. I think it should be more like the battledome, where the players must agree on a time to play and both show up at that time. Once they both make a move, they must finish the game right then and there, and if for some reason one of them just stops playing, the other should automatically win after 15 minutes. No "move or lose" reminders required -- if both players are committed to competing, and both cared enough to actually agree to a set time to play, they should be able to show up and finish the game at that time.
If they agree on a time and only one of them shows, that person should automatically win after a set amount of time (maybe they could send one reminder, and if the other player didn't show after a half hour or something, the one who didn't show would lose). That wouldn't be at all hard to program, would it?

Ugh, this is horrible. >.< As if it wasn't hard enough already to get through a game.
What would even prompt them to do this? I just don't understand the thought process behind it. Most players are having trouble with deadbeats who sign up for the trophies and neopoints, so why would they help those deadbeats? It just doesn't make sense.
If anything, I agree with the above posts that the time should be made shorter. Maybe couple users up with others in the same country if possible. I also think you should get some kind of notice if the other person has moved and it's been your turn for like an hour or something. It sucks having to keep refreshing the page all day just to find out if they moved yet or not. A count down clock until the "Move or Lose" button will show up would be nice as well.

On a bright note, the "I Win" button is now working correctly! YAY!!
I agree that the time periods between moves need to be shortened.

Bleh. This is the only reason I never played multiplayer games. I always got ditched in the middle of the game and I just never wanted to bother with that whole refreshing fiasco.
This really wasn't a good idea. Maybe over time it'll be changed back? Who knows, maybe it won't maybe it will...

I figured I'd quote this because it has some of the best ideas I've seen for Multiplayer Games and if, perchance, any of TNT happens in here, they should see that post as many times as humany possible!
I may just copy and paste the entire thing into the editorial, just to make a point!
