Theories derived from the TCG.....

Tue Mar 01, 2005 11:15 pm

So, I found a cool things while reading through the new TCG cards.... i dont know if many of you noticed these little things or not..... so i thought id point them out.... because they make good theories... so nows an opportunity for you to state what you think little hints are hinting at as well :)

anyway, i saw these few cards:

and this makes it seem like some of the theories people had could be even more true... apparently, the ruins of the old maraqua may remain there.... on the map... as the ruins of the old maraqua.

why? On these cards... they Dont say "The new Maraqua..."............. they keep calling it "New Maraqua." The pirates just found out about New Maraqua, so they need to protect it. Isca was one of the thousands who found out about New Maraqua, and went there to find a new life. So, maybe New Maraqua will be the new world to appear on the map!

In fact... since this is the old map:

I would be watching these links....
http://neopets.com/water2/index.phtml
http://neopets.com/newmaraqua/index.phtml
thats what im persuming the new links will be... what do you think?

also... based on evidence given to us so far, what do you think is going to happen?

It sounds to me, like that same old ko king *with a little retouching* grouped everybody together, and all these years they have been building a new maraqua in a more hidden location underwater, probably 10,000 feet underwater, where the pirates couldnt find them so easily.

Then, there is garin the foolish. He is told to be a smart and cunning and very handsome dude, but for "some" reason is called foolish on the trading card game. I think, somehow he finds out about New Maraqua (Im thinking that Isca shows him... because she foresees destruction, and knows he is a great hero, so gives his the underwater breathing necklace and discovers for himself the New Maraqua.) Somehow, his tounge slips or he leads the OLD bad pirates, who originally curses maraqua, to the New maraqua. I dont know HOW they plan to destroy it this time, but Kelpbeard, instead of repremanding Garin the Foolish, knows that the day was going to come anyway, so he asks for Garin's help.

also.... another reason i believe that the old ruins will be left here, is because the release of talador is on its way, and we need the statue in the ruins for that... we can tell it still gets closer, because they are still giving out talador cards, like this one:
Image
the werelupe king is a....king of werelupes, who remains king until he is defeated in battle... so this must be who he has fighting for him.... and because of that "Land of Ador" card....

also, does anybody think they know where Maractite comes in?

my theory, is the place they discovered had tons of it, so they built their new city out of it, and called the special metal maractite.... maybe its super strong, so the new structure of New Maraqua is strong... so maybe thats what they make armor and weapons out of to fight the pirates...yarr!

eh... anybody else have theories? or have anything to say about mine?

Excellent theories. Basically all of that is exactly what I was thinking after reading through some flavour text, etc. Most of the plot seems to be centered on Garin squealing on the New Maraqua to Scarblade.

I disagree with your new maraqua, new world theory. Donna mentioned that the New Maraqua will have 2-3 maps when it's all done. One probably being New Maraqua, one being the ruins, and three being something else.

yay, somebody finally replied  i just realized the whole garin being the squealer today.... i kept trying to figure out why they would call the main hero Garin the Foolish.

I totally forgot about that whole thing Donna said.... but i dont think they built NM right on top of the old maraqua.... so thats why i thought what i thought.... because otherwise the pirates would know exactly where New Maraqua would be.... and because there are constantly people digging for treasure in the maraqua ruins.... but your right, donnas editiorial statement does interfere with that theory.... so i dont know anymore!

I don't think they built it "right on top" either. Instead, it's something like how Meridell and Brightvale are connected via the main Meridell map. Even though Brightvale is 50 miles away, they're still linked together :)

cough people were not paying attention when I post the maraqua tcg list way before neo release it :P

what is maractite :
Maractite is quite amazing you know. It is the only metal around that can travel through water as if it were air.

isca show garin the new maraqua because garin was her childhood friend (he chose the path to be pirate)

why foolish ? perhaps despite isca's warning he chose the path of pirates, and tell those pirates about the new maraqua...

Also, Isca's eyes are open, wide open.

I saw in Neopets Magazine Issue 9 the list of the first 60 cards. The humor text (italicized text) for ghost yurble was "Bbrrinnggg bbaacckk the boookkk!" or something like that. Towards the end, I saw the book card Defenders of (big rip) Ador, and the humor text for that was something like" an ancient book from a time long forgotten". There is a picture of Jerdana (I think) on the cover.

My theory is that Talador is "Ador" on the title. If you don't know what Talador is, I recommend that you go on http://www.neopetshive.com , enter, then click on worlds and find Talador.
