Proof that pop ups are coming from Neopets.com:



So, I decided to allow it just out of curiosity:



What will they think of next?

I thought Neo said we werent going to get popups (or maybe I was dreaming) havent had a popup yet though

I did get some notices about pop ups trying to open, but I thought they were from other sites... I hope they weren't from neopets.

Try running adware and see if it shows up some stuff...might get rid of the popups

Even worse.... The popups I got were some of the new breed that can defeat popup blockers.... (or so I'm assuming, I'm pretty sure I haven't allowed popups for firefox...)

Edit: I did allow popups from Neo... not sure why though... game windows didn't count as popups...

No, I ran Ad-aware, McAfee, and Pest Patrol right after it--no spyware. If it is outside "spyware," why would it say that it was from neopets.com?

valueclick.com is one of my Ad-block filters, I believe. So it *is* from Neo.

I was just in the battledome & every time i refreshed the page a small box with neopets on it would pop up & then disappear. It was so fast that if I wasn't looking at the top of my page I wouldn't have seen it.

Thinking about this I think I've seen one popup on neo and that was about 1-2 months ago it quickly came up and disappeared

Just to re-inforce what we have said before, there will never be any pop-ups, pop-unders, spyware, interstitials or anything like that on the site. We hate those as much as you do! Although the top 90 pixels will probably be some sort of ad, the rest will remain mostly ad-free. Also, the site will always remain free to play.
