Don't you think that if you have a limited edition pet (or restricted) you should have the option in lab for it never to change species? Or is it only me who feels this? I would love to zap my draik and krawk to increase stats but I fear that they'll change species, which I REALLY don't want to happen. agh.

Well, that's a risk of the lab ray- if you want to raise stats with it, you run the risk of losing stats and changing species/colour. If you don't want that to happen, you'll have to stick with training "manually", as is the case I am in. :\
I don't think they'll change it anytime soon.

That would take away all the fun of the lab ray, though. Hehe.

Lol. I guess. I just hate paying 3 codestones and waiting 4 hours >.<

It's funny how my pet changed to an Eyrie right when Eyries were given free training.

Not really. The Lab should stay as it is - random. If you zap your Maraquan Krawk and it turns into a Blue Shoyru, its your falut for zapping it...not the ray's fault for changing it!
When you turned your lab ray, you basically signed (no wait... I didn't sign no paper! Ahhh! o.o) an agreement. And you see it every single time you go there.
(I have nothing against either species. I just picked out a random color for the pet with the least amount of Neopets and a random color for the most Popular.)

I still think they should have an option to lock a pet from the lab. One time, I came home and got onto neo to find my mutant draik a hideous litle Uni because my sister clicked on the favorites tab and selected him. If we had that in our user prefs, it would really help us with slips of hand and family computer problems.

I agree that the lab ray should stay random. If your expensive Faerie Krawk turned into, say, a Green Kougra...it's your own fault. After all, you're the one who chose to use the lab ray, no? If you don't want your neopet to change species/color, don't use the lab ray. End of discussion.

I agree with the randomness of the lab ray.. I would never zap my Toun, it cost me too much to get it in hte first place. but then again all my stats are form the shrine or free tranning Days.

and we need the opposite of that too; neopets shouldnt be able to change into draiks or krawks. they get to save about a million if that happens
i wanna zap my draik and krawk also, and i would if it couldnt change species. and since all of my pets are rare, i really want this feature... but of course, this is just MY opinion, and when its ONLY my opinion, it never happens

The Lab Ray can't turn Neopets into Krawks.

Aye, but it can turn Krawks (If fully dubbed Neopetted) into other pets, correct?

True.
I remember reading in the editorial or something like that, that krawks can't be obtained from the lab ray because "They have to be obtained in a special way, and that would decrease their value."

Can draiks be obtained from the lab ray?

As far as I know, krawks and draiks cannot be gotten from the lab.
The colors that can't be gotten as well are: royal, pirate, baby or plushie.
At least thats what I think, anything else?
