Question about galleries

Tue Jun 22, 2004 6:15 am

I want to start a gallery in a separate account, but I know that you can't play games, do freebies, etc. on other accounts so then how am I supposed to expand my shop?? Thanks

You can do anything with a shop. I'll tell you what I do, although I'm not sure if it's acceptable. But I don't see why it wouldn't be. I set up an auction, and transfer neopoints through there.

I do the same as Johnnydontgo. That or buy the items on my main ac then set up a trade and move them over a few times a week.

Well, that, and you can now choose the "give to neofriend" option. When you click on an item in your inventory, and the little popup window comes up, you can choose "give to neofriend". You can either type in your other account's name in the box provided there, or become neofriends with your other account. Then it's a simple click away.

if you don't want to send nps over by trades, you can use bottles of sand, place them in your gallery shop for high amounts and then buy them from your main account

I think that's what most people do - it's what I did with my gallery, when I had it. It appears to be the safest method at the moment.

tnt is not all that strict.

I agree, I always transfer neopoints and items trough trades or shops. I haven't gotten frozen on my current account yet. ;)

Yes, actually they can be. Like I know of an instance where a few family members all played, using the same computer, different emails (I asked). The mom of one of her children decided to buy that child a pb as a holiday gift and just used the give to neofriend option. Yes, the child was surprised, as was the mom -- both accounts were frozen for multiple accounts.

That said, I do buy things on my main account for my gallery and either like once a week just send a smaller item via the send to neofriend or if I need to send something worth more and some np to increase my shop size I will set a "junk" trade on my gallery account and send the item/np over that way. I just don't do it often. I know alot of people who also buy something overpriced on their gallery or other account from their main account.

The using the auction thing I'm not so sure of. I remember when I only had one account and would try to bid on an auction and get that weird you can only bid on one account message. I don't think you're allowed to bid on an auction on the same IP, but I could be wrong.

The big thing is to not send np TO your main account, along with no dailies, stocks, scratchcards, restocking, games on other accounts.

To expand my gallery, I send neopoints over from my main account via the Trading Post (by bidding on a piece of junk, gotten from the main account), and then do the upgrade.
Sometimes to send gallery items over I set up a trade, or use the 'Give to Neofriend' option (although I don't use the latter often).
You can look at the article linked below for more info on this subject:

Just transfer things from your main account over to your gallery account.
