As some of you may know, i'm trying to sell my faerie paintbrush.
Now on the trading post, you see the first number of items, and only those items. The only time I get offers (cruddy offers mind you), is about five minutes into my trade being up, and then never again!
Not to mention that i'm selling mine for 10 k cheaper (it's cheaper. Give me a break) then everyone elses whose up there!
However! Nobody sees my auction because of everyone elses brush being placed before mine! Who knows how many brushes are actually in there, but theres a lot!
GAH!
I had mine up there for 650 k for TWO weeks. And not a single offer.
It's just... idiotic that we can't scroll through all the trades that are offered on the post.
I want to be able to sell this darn thing! And I think I could if Neo would just allow us to see ALL the trades, or go to different pages of the trades! Would it not benefit the buyer and the seller?
*seeths*

hmm...yes indeed that may be a problem. a solution that's not so perfect is if you take other less popular unbuyables and bunch them together with your faerie pb, more players may stumble across your lot.

That bugs me also.. Not being able to see your trade up on the post. Just keep canceling it after 15 minutes, and you should eventually be able to get it on the post soon. And once it's there, don't cancel it! lol
But a lot of times I get good offers when I cancel and put it back up.

Well, try advertising. Post little notes in your shop, userlookup and maybe the NeoBoards (if you're brave). Giving things publicity sometimes helps.
And I agree we should be able to see more than the latest twenty trades.

I know, that happened to me before. You can always try putting it in auctions, people will actually see it there if you do.

Here's an easy way: Advertise on the TC. How do you think so many players sell their stuff? And, the TC is one of the safest boards in all of neopia. I used to sell stuff there all the time. *points to sig*

Well my opinion is that you aren't getting bids because everyone is angry at how much they have inflated and refuse to pay it. You could always advertise on NeoBoards, or advertise here for that matter.

I think advertising with a link to your lot is the best best. Also, in Trading chat, look out for people saying 'I have 700K to spend on paintbrushes' and stuff like that
Good luck!

I believe that there used to be a feature on the trading post where you could view 20 or 40 lots at a time. I have no idea why they removed it though.

I had to leave... for a few hours, so I only had time to cancel it once; and put it back up... no offers.
And now it's up for 750 k.

I resent that.
I've lost a lot of NP in trading post errors, INCLUDING a faerie paint brush. I've been hacked a couple times now, so iv'e lost a lot in that as well.
Quite frankly. If I sell this for 750 k, i'll be even with what i've lost.
It may not seem much to most others, but it's a lot to me.

hehe..i understand such mentality. however, like i said, if they are not buying now, the price may inflate further in september when the faerie festival comes. they may introduce new faerie pets or an avatar that requires a certain faerie species. think what the island quiggle avatar has done to the price of the island paint brush

Yeah your right, same thing happened to me with...a codestone (Lol Yeah i know I can't afford a Faerie Paint brush) and i think neo should show every trades in the list.

Argh, NEOBOARDS!
As others have stated above, the Neoboards are awesome when it comes to trying to sell your goods. There are people who will buy your items any hour of the night, you just need to find the right one. Unless your offer is awesome and it just so happens that someone who needs what your selling is there, will you sell anything off. Use the tools at your disposal and get what you need. The Neoboards are the ultimate advertising tool on Neopets. A lot of people there are pretty friendly and you can usually make some very good business partner-esque relationships off of it.
They come in handy, yet so many people avoid them at all costs.

yes, the trading/auction neoboard is a good place to try selling your stuff. however, take note of some of the resellers there. some resellers are pretty obnoxious and they will try to rip you off with every opportunity. some of these resellers have also taken to "humiliating" your offer in public if your offer is not attractive enuff to them. i don't really advertsie a lot there becoz it's not likely you get a good price for your stuff. over 90% of that board is occupied by regular resellers. from my experience, some of the best sales i have always come from players who neomailed me personally and offer my asking price. they are normally low profile and mostly use my item instead of reselling it, thus i like these customers best.
