Is there a strategy for cellblock lvl 11 and beyond?

I'm working up to that myself (Currently on tournament
, but I've heard a good method is to try and create a H figure, eg:

Either horizontally or vertically.

I make a
wedge and then try to make an
X. It got me the gold trophy.
The
"x" and the
Finish on an easy board.
The best advice I can give is that the computer can be confused by the rocks.

I never used strategy for level 11, I'm just using original 3 crossing lines method.

Oooh, I like that idea. I'm almost at Tournament 11 now, so I'll have to try it out (I'm determined to get the Gold trophy).

Me too. For some reason I didn't get my bronze or silver trophies despite winning

I had that problem in tourney one. I sent reports and everything ... but they never fixed the problem. I didn't get a cellblock trophy until I earned the silver.

That "x" thing was a really good strat although i didnt use it, it looks good but i got my gold trophy shortly after i posted for help lol thnx for the replies

IMO, it's too bad that there are any strategies that work... The champion trophie would really be nameworthy if it was everyone had to "figure it out" for themselves

Even with a very effective strategy, it was still a TON of work to get the trophies. I think the guides give an idea of how to create your own strategy and gives players confidence that they could win. The diamond strategy is only effective as it is less than 70% of the time. You have to develope some more game playing skills to get anything other than the bronze metal.
I have to admit that the game play is a bit easy (even if it is extremely time consuming) through the first ten tournies. After that, it take a lot of patience repetition, and sometimes just plain luck. A
little help doesn't hurt.

The Diamond strategy actually took some improvising to work for me, recently. stampsyne's right, as I already had some close escapes on Tournament 3 and adopted a more flexible three-line diamond system by thinking two-dimensionally. Sticking to a certain strategy too much threw me off when an opponent made an unexpected move. I was lucky I figured out an easy horizontal win before the computer saw what I didn't even know I was up to.

I've got gold now too
Quite a few times, I started with the "X" formation and the CPU quite often mistook a rock for either one of mine or one of his own pieces and would mess up because of it
