Are there going to be any prizes for the HatIC War if there are when will you finally release them - Datruf89
Yes, we are still finalising what the prizes will be, but they should be given out towards the end of this week.

On the advent calendar I noticed that it was saying stuff like rebuild Maraqua. Are you really going to rebuild Maraqua? - stinx
Oh yes, and there is going to be a big plot with pirates and stuff too!

Even if the PB is retired, they seem to still come from Fruit machine, so they'll never run dry. I know pets are still getting lost desert, faerie, and electric blue colors, dispite those 3 being retired.

Did you guys just totally forget about the whole Guildmasters' Dinner Logic Puzzle? I love those kind of puzzles and I have been waiting forever for the clues. Please hurry! - Ajoya
No, we did not forget. I won't go into details, but basically Adam and I have had the most horrendous few weeks and just have not been in a situation where we could make this work. This still has not been totally resolved and is on hold until further notice. We are terribly sorry about this, its just one of those things unfortunately.

I'm sorry, but I just don't understand this. I have made a number of these puzzles in the past, and I always always work out the answers before I start, and test the clues to make sure they are not too easy/too hard/wrong etc etc.

How did they start this game without doing that? I dont go in for the bashing of the TNT that some people do, but this is just stupid.

It sounds more like a situation with something other then the GM dinner has bumped it back.

It's rather easy to upload clues and stuff, but they probably have something they can't tell us. And releasing all the clues would require them to judge the contest etc etc etc, and they probably don't want to do that yet, but I have a feeling the entire dinner IS worked out.

So much for an extra long editorial to make up for last week's absent one. The same happened the last time she promised an extra long editorial for not doing one the week before.

BTW.... comments such as those regarding the burning of fake plushies in fake effigies should be taken with a grain of salt. In other words it's simply a joke. I in no way would actually want to hurt or kill anyone much less Donna (or even her effigy) even if she always goes back on her promises.

Let me just say that I hope that it was a job related horrible week or something like that and not a personal family horrible.
But, I would assume that with a staff of that many, there should be someone else who is able to post clues, assuming, like cyleigh wrote, that they already had clues in mind like most people would.

Also, for the record, there was no news on Friday so still a little disappointed on that front.

Mon Jan 10, 2005 7:38 am

Either way its not very good. If it was a horrible job related week that can only mean horrible stuff for the site. Horrible like they had to lay off artists or they lost a sponsor is pretty bad too. Not as bad as losing loved onces but either way horrible weeks are horrible no matter what aspect you refer to :)

BTW.
It was a general warning reguarding the burning of fake effigys on the forum.
And slipping in a snyde remark at the end isn't really a good idea considering the other thread was locked.

The Neopets Team are people too. No matter whether the comments were said in jest or not, they can still take it personally. Every comment made to everyone may not be viewed in the manner in which the commenter would like it to be taken.

No need to be snippy, I don't see how I was slipping in a snyde comment, I was only trying to clear the air on what I meant when I said burning a purple poptart plushie in effigy. I won't comment on this further on the this board as it is wildly off topic but I was not trying to be snyde at all I was merely pointing out that I was joking and meant no harm to anyone.

On topic... as expected the Guild Master's has been officially canned which is pretty sad.

Also, I wish that they would fix it so that Neomails won't erase after clicking send (they didn't used to before) so that if you need to go back it will still be there. It's so frustrating when you have to retype long messages.

Hmm, well, 'horrendous few weeks' could just mean a lot of stuff happened at once. Remember Donna was sick, I think Adam too, they both had birthdays, Neopets had its birthday, the Holidays and New Year...that's a lot right there, lol! We can't imagine what else was going on and there can be just plain yucky stuff that you have to deal with in business too.

Frankly, the amount of content on the site is mind boggling. I'm always shocked they can keep up as well as they do. It's easy to criticize when you're not actually involved in the intricacies of something like this ;)

Can I just say that yelling 'fire' in a movie theater when there is no fire is fake too -.- Some stuff is just not funny and is not a joke no matter how you put it, and if you think it is you better take a step back and try to figure out why -.-

That was a pretty packed editorial, sounds like there is a lot of stuff about to happen on the site, yay! I think I'd ignore the marketplace map too, heh heh! Actually it's good they don't redraw the whole site at once, it would be too shocking a change. Yeah some stuff is a little funky compared to their new style, but I think it's fun to have some old familiar memories around :)

Great, the greedy sock person is going to cause my sock collection to be incomplete! I thought I was finished at two!!! :P

They shown the picture of the NEXT caption contest on the front page, accidently showing everyone the "New Neopet". :P

It could also be weather related. My relatives in LA tell me it's been raining like mad and flooding everywhere. Which causes problems for everything. They might have lost a few computers due to the rain. Remember that neocam picture from a while back showing the ceiling being all soaked?
