People will offer to give you 100k for use of a secondary account. They will tell you they need it to restock, and then tell you that you can change the password. Once you let them in, they will change the email (you cant tell this unless you look into it), they will say they are done and tell you that you can change the password back. They will then ask for your main account to send the 100k to. They will then use the Password Recovery to get your new password on your secondary and attempt to use it for your main. This works on most people because they have the same passwords for all their accounts.
Beware.

But, why would you give one of YOUR accounts to someone to restock...when they can just make one of their own.
Are scammers getting more and more stupid or is it just me?

Just remainds people to use a differnt password for every account. I use sirclucky almost everwhere, and need to make sure my neo and other imporant passwords are differnt, incase the runner of place B takes my username and password and tries sticking it into my neopets account. Call my parinoid-but i havnt been hacked or frozen in 30 months or so now-so it must work

I said the exact same thing to myself when I was reading the post. Why would anyone let anyone else use their account for anything? Unless the person is a loved one or family member, it is just too risky.
And, why would anyone let another person use their account to restock? Isn't that pretty much asking for it to be frozen? It is obvious that the only reason they would want to use another account is because they were restock banned on their own account. And, the rules are very clear about restocking. Restocking on more than one account is not allowed.

I think it must be the users if they even fall for stuff like that.

How random - "I need to use your spare account to restock" - er, why?!
Unfortunately, I'm sure new members would probably fall for this :/

It works on the majority of neoboard users.

Think about that statement.
Now, I'm not trying to say anything about about a good portion of neoboard users, but a lot of them show it themselves.
I do feel bad for the kids that are going to fall for it though, but the majority of people I've seen fall for scams are the late junior high/early high school crowd.

Haha, I remember in 3rd grade seeing people fall for scams... and having to report the scammers via email... oh man good times. What was pathetic is that I was smarter than the general scam-ee crowd.
And yeah, people fall lower and dumber with every scam. =(

OK, maybe I am being too logical here--I tend to do that. But how exactly do you know that it works on the majority of neoboard users? Unless you have some sort of firsthand knowledge or are conducting some sort of random poll (like A. C. Nielsen does) of the neoboard users, you really can only guess whether it is or is not working on the majority.

Well, I can't say I know for
sure, but many people I have talked to who do this sort of thing tell me that
most of the neoboard users fall for it.
And from that I assumed that they meant the
majority. Oh.. and stop thinking so much.. it makes me have to think
