Why TNT why?!

Thu Dec 23, 2004 7:53 pm

I play sponsor games daily to try and bring my Neopoints back up after going broke. My favorite games are the quiz games and the Goldfish game. I played the Unfortunate events game...and realized that I wasn't getting my 300 neopoints. Like the description SAYS I will. I'm getting 120. Downgraded. So I go to my next game, the Goldfish game. I get 1000 np a shot at this game! I love it :)

...25 NP to 100 Points? DOWNGRADED!

Why does TNT do this? I understand that they don't want everyone to be rich in Neopia, but not everyone's good a restocking either. After accepting the fact that Restocking and Meowth don't get along, I started playing games. Now it's going to take me twice as long to get my 10,000 NP I try so hard to get...and regardless of what TNT believes, I don't have 2 hours to blow on playing games at their site every day. >_<

Am I the only one that thinks that some games they seriously should stop downgrading?

I think what neopets is trying to do is. To even out the economy. So they make games pay less. Well, Im not sure really. Thats just my opinion or whatever. Or perhaps neo is trying to make it so newbies cant make 100k+ from games a day. As some games are seriously very easy to make nps.

I know! I hate that! That was pretty much my source of NP!

if they wanted to even out the economy they'd get rid of avatars. seriously, it's unbelievably unfair for them to downgrade game payout, when they're dial-up users main source of income.

i can't restock. my computer's too slow and i don't have the patience. so i make about 8k a day in games. meanwhile, restockers make about a mil a month! it's not evening anything out, it's making the poor poorer.

i was furious when whack-a-kass was downgraded. like meowth said, i don't have time to run aroud playing a ton of games a day.

I hear what you're saying.

I can't restock either- slow computer, and games that take dexterity and speed I can't do either, so the few games that I can do, I am really unenthusiastic about the reduction of points.

I noticed that yesterday, too. They messed up the Harry Potter game as well. I don't play for NP much anymore, but it still bothered me. I can't restock (ultra slow dialup) and those were some of the few games I played. It's frustrating, plus it makes people less likely to play the sponsor games--don't they want a lot of people to play those? I know I'm not going to bother with them anymore!

I have cable, but always forget to restock, GRRR!

Thu Dec 23, 2004 8:29 pm

Yeah... I remember that a pretty long time ago, they messed up the Back Yard Skater (or whatever it's called)... it's back, but they downgraded it wayyy too much. That you have to get 10,000 points for a measly 1k.

they are probably making smaller neopoints values worth more to decrease everythings prices, and doing so by downgrading games ><;;

didn't 1000 NPs seem like a lot a long time ago? exactly what I mean...

I used to make 15K per day playing games, but with all the downgrades I'm making about 10K now. Compared to what a lot of restockers make, that's pathetic -- but I'm no good at restocking, and why even bother when there are autobuyers in pratically every shop, anyway? TNT should WANT to reward us for playing games, especially sponsor ones -- the more popular those are, the more likely that sponsor is to stick with the site. I just don't understand why they want to make it so hard for us, the people who play games for a "living," to succeed in Neopia. Honestly. Even if we could make 3K a day from every game we play, restockers would STILL make more than we do.

I hate that too :x. Sutek's Tomb used to be one of my favorite games, I can't believe how much they have downgraded it. I wish they hadn't changed it to begin with (adding a pause, shuffling).. it's not even challenging anymore, and it takes too long to earn the 1k. With 2 youngings I don't have hours to spend on the site playing games.

Remember the Toaster Strudel game? (or was it pop tarts?) That was such an easy 3k a day, I miss games like that :D

I really just play games for fun, my main sorce of income is Snow Faerie quests... O.o Well, and braintree, thats why I keep a stock of cheap spooky foods in my SDB.

I know TNT has been downgrading alot lately, they just dont want the games to be the main focus point, thats all. I mean, thats why they put a limit on it 2 years ago.

><;;

Tell me about it.

All my favourite games - Destruct-O-Match II, Whack-A-Kass, Snowmuncher - have had the np payout lowered. These days it's hard to get 10k, whereas it used to not take as much trouble.

I can't restock. I've tried - I am so bad at it, I either don't get anything, what I get doesn't sell or I get the wrong thing. I'm not made for RSing - that's why I love games so much. They're something I'm ok at.

I don't understand why they are doing that anyways, mainly with a Series of Unfortunate game. It says 300 a play. Give it 300 a PLAY then.

They've done this so much now it's harder for us people who don't restock, or can't, to actually play the game. Instead, the people who like to think they "rule" and restock constantly and don't think about anyone else, get to succeed in raising prices on the simpliest of items, such as Codestones and Faerie.

Ill try and help out, this is how I make my nps:

1. get 100k+ nvm how you get them, just get them :P
2. RESELL, not RESTOCK, buy from the trading post and resell for more than you buy, and always buy a few thousands below tp price, and try not to make a loss :) I mad 1.2mil in a month this way, so maybe you should try it, youd get better as time passes :)
