Strategy for Meerca Henchmen?

I really want to move on in Defenders of Neopia, but I can't seem to defeat the Meerca Henchmen. Does anyone have a good strategy? Here are my stats, because I suppose the strategy depends on them. 
Species: Lupe
Level: 51
Strength: 75
Defence: 25 (I know, ew. He was a lab pet.)
HP: 182
Weapons:
Mystery Fruit Bowl
Iron Lupe Sword
Ancient Lupe Wand
Water Muffin (can get another if needed, will upgrade to honey potion after prices drop again)
Downsize!
And I have berserk attack, drain life, burrow and sink.
I think I need a shield and something for healing, although I don't know how much it'd help, because they always just freeze and kill me. Maybe I'm just too weak for the henchmen... has anyone around my battling level killed them?

Cranberry, It would help you quite bit to train to the 85 boost. (x3 Multiplier)
One of their main weapons is the Hefty Loot Bag. Find something for dark and physical defense.
Dark Reflectorbs could help, and a Winged Scarab would as well, as it defends the physical from the water pistol too. For their water pistol's water icons, Get an enchanted kiko squeeze toy, or a different full water blocker.
For the air, the perfect defence is a Greater Defence Scroll.
It will block the full 5 icons of air. Hope that helps somehow. =)

I am having problems beating them too.

I finally beat them, and my strength is still only 76 and my HP 184. Here's what I did:
First turn: Just used my two strongest multi-use weapons (mystery fruit bowl and iron lupe sword) plus drain life, and took the hit. They knocked away more than half my HP!
Second: Used mystery fruit bowl, and ancient lupe wand to freeze them. Burrowed. My HP was (I think) at 9 at this point, heh.
Third: When they were frozen, went all out with a honey potion, mystery fruit bowl and berserk attack.
Fourth: Used lucky robot's foot to heal to full, and threw a sticky snowball while using sink. They froze me this turn, but it was too late -- they were already beaten.
I'll have to train a LOT before I can beat the giant ghostkerchief, though.

Heh, is this an old thread or what? I have 200 strength (and HP) and much better weapons now and I'm up to the slug monster. Thanks for the guide, though; I think there are some other people on the board who are trying to beat the henchmen now.
