A Neopets Movie

Wed Jun 16, 2004 11:54 am

I have heard rumors about a Neopets movie coming in the future. I hope it's not true, but there was to be a Neopets movie, how would you like to see it made?

Personally, I think that the obvious choice would be traditional animation/anime style. However, I'll cast my vote for the third choice because it's not all that common and I think it would be absolutely fascinating (Imagine which actresses could play the Faeries!) And the movie would be less likely to flop because it would be more original. Plus, I could try and get a walk-on appearance :P

I hope they never make a movie, cos that would just be cashing in even more than now.
Its the first step to pokemon style cartoons.

If they did that, I'm sure many players would quit.

Did you know a live action Transformers the movie is in production with CGI robots, but real actors :o

I would like to see it done like Finding Nemo... very detailed. Looking realistic, but not too realistic.

Although I must say that would take a lot of work, and just recently TNT seems to be slacking off a bit.

I'd prefer it finding nemo style to be honest.
But I'm not sure I'd go and see it anyway.

Maybe a computer animation would be better, but I think the 3rd option is not too bad either.

I shudder to think this is even a possibility (if I didn't read an article quoting Dohring)

Live action would be way awkward for the concept so it would be 3-D animated (cel shading I think wuold look good in their case)

You forgot the best option... no style at all because one shouldn't be made.

But in general, I'm a big fan or good old 2-d animation.

I like 3-d aswell, but 2-d would best fit neopets, being as it's already 2-d. The thing that would really bother me is if they made it mostly 2-d but tried to throw in a little 3-d effect every once in a while (I HATE when cartoons do that. Pick a style and go with it!)

Live action would just be wrong... so very wrong.

I think computer animated would be cool...

But if they started working on a movie everything else on the site would have less attention, and we would never get neoschool :? Not like either will actually happen any time soon.

Computer animation, that would be so cool the Shoyru flying overhead .... aww that would be great!

Finding Nemo DUDE!!!
But the Neopets movie would make Neopets a fad....

Cartoon/anime style. Because they could draw it fast and then concentrate on Neoschools.

Definetely 2-D or 3-D. Either. But I'd go with no movie at all. what's it gonna be about? Their plots are always pretty cheesy and dull anyway. (no offense TNT!, story writing isn't your strong point).

I've heard of this possibility. Infact, I've had a conversation with Adam (Powell) about it. I think a movie would be cool, especially if it was done in anime style. Meaning: Good animation, an interesting plot that can be for kids or adults, not dumbed down. I'm not sure Adam knows much anime because he kept talking about how people kept mentioning Pokemon and it wouldn't be anything like that. Pokemon is definately not what I mean, though. I've been trying since to find an anime that shows what I mean, but I haven't found one with talking creatures that is suitable for an example.
