I went to go move my Jade Scorchstone from my pet to the trading post, and I got a random event... I about fainted... it was a ghost taking np from me... I swear to you PANT DEVIL went through my head and I nearly wet myself.

^^;

Anywho... i was wondering, any scares like this happen to any of you?

Anytime I am moving anything that costs a lot, I get the willies and hold my breath during the transfer--whether it is fear of the Pant Devil striking or the glitches that never hit when I am transferring an omelette, but love to hit when it is something I paid 99,999 for.

So, it isn't just you--I am sure there are a lot of others who feel the same way--particularly now that the RE's have reappeared.

That is why I have a web page of my own most used 'quick links' to avoid navigating to places during transfers and such. It lessens the change of the Pant Devil stealing my boxers!

I aleays transfer with like every other slot filled with junk. Lowrs chances of your goody goody being stolen.

I thought everyone did that? How can anyone think of transferring something if their inventory is empty? *shudders*

Anyway, I once had a grey paint brush in my inventory when the grundo leader struck. Thankfully he stole a junk. :zzz:

Yikes, I would have had an adrenalin rush.....LOL.... Im so glad your scorchstone made it..

Im so paranoid now after losing all that stuff in the roll back, everytime I move any items worth anything I screen shot it, date them and save them JIC I ever need to write to TNT and prove they were there.

the only time I move anything that is expensive is right after I have gotten a RE. The chances of getting two in a row are small. Well, for me they are. I have never gotton two in a row.

EDIT I just read the thread about everyone getting several REs in a row. Guess that kills my way of moving things.

Some of us are far too lazy to fill our inventories.

I just figure that the odds of something happening is really slim to none. The most expensive thing that was ever stolen from me was a drackonack and I keep fairly expensive things in my inventory all the time.

Would it not be logical to flood you're inventory with 49 items of 1np value when moving items of 1Mill value or more?

I remeber when i had finally got my honey potion through Illusen's quests, so I hurry up and go to my inventory so i can equip it right away, and on my inventory page, there's the pant devil bragging about stealing my honey potion! I quit neopets for like 6 months afterwards...

To *really* minimize number of pageviews and therefore chances for a random event, I usually google for the page I want instead. That is, say Illusen has just given me a Honey Potion. Instead of going Shop -> My Inventory, I'd google for the direct address of the Inventory, and thus saving a page. I know it's not much, but it's what I used back when my painted pet had Hoochie Coochie. As soon as the battle end, I would google "Healing Springs" and saved going from Explore -> Faerieland -> Healing Springs.

Flooding your inventory with junk is probably more effective, but this takes less effort, imo.

I hated that grundo captain...when i was a New Member i was trading for an angelpuss and as soon as the trade finished it told me "The grundo leader appears and steals your Angelpuss!"...Stupid RE's

Hey did tnt fix the randome events? I havent had one in well weeks
