One of my old sixth grade teachers had a poster...

"Weird is a weird word"

Every time someone spelled it "wierd", she'd put it up and make them a "grammar victim" (Hard to explain.)

Just make sure this isn't one of the e-mails you get:

Quote:

y76p; '0lu8jykee;u4p;e'/Rh
Strong ba15456 `-------++++++gf
+++++-//==========/*8901ikg

"If you're lucky, I might just settle with eating your firstborn."

Well, are you sure that they're not spoofed?

I haven't gotten ones quite like that, but yesterday I recieve a message from mailto:support@support.neopets.com (The Battledome Team), and one a few weeks ago from mailto:autoresponse@neopets.com (for the Petpet Spotlight), but I have never emailed those addresses. o_O The weird thing is though that the Subject of the Petpet one was "something for you", which is a title of virus messages. Bleh. *goes to run Ad Aware aagin*

You mean "wrist"? ;)

Those are weird e-mails. If that e-mail account has nothing to do with Neopets, they're probably not actually from them. Spammers can set it so their address appears to be from anywhere they like. I'd block the address and junk the messages.

I agree with Cranberry. I don't know how to do it, but apparently it is quite easy to "spoof" an email address. I do note that the people here who have gotten these emails all have websites listed under their names. Are these emails going to an email you all have listed on your web?

I would definitely not open them, just set them up as "spam".
