Since I'm starting over, I wanted to know what I've missed over the past few months on neopets... The last thing I remember is the Ruki coming out... So a little summary would be greatly appreciated! I'm afraid if I try to read through the news I'll miss things like a bunch of neopians getting innocenlty frozen at the same time or something...

I'm curious too. I've been away for a while and I seemed to have missed a lot...

Well, the Bori came out and so did the "Hannah And The Ice Caves" TCG Set.

Not much really, but I was frozen aswell innocently.

There is a Kadoatery now...where you feed kadoaties. Feed one for a trophy....(bronze) 10 for silver...25 for gold, and 75 for an avatar.

Only big hullaballoo we've had since you were absent was a mild fight over the Yahoo Toolbar, and a huge fit seen here and on the neoboards about a gambling ban on for Aussies, but a quick read up here in the forum and you'll be good to go.

Welcome back, Tonu! I have missed you.

You have missed a lot--but, strangely enough, not a lot of glitches. Isn't that a strange thing for me to say, eh? (To fill any "new"timers in, Tonu and I have been hit by more than our fair share of lost item glitches in the past year).

Let's see--TNT seems to be on a freezing/warning kick lately. The biggest shop dealer in Neopia was frozen. The biggest trophy holder in Neopia was frozen, unfrozen, and then frozen again. Both of those seem to be the result of jealous players--but that is just my opinon. I have heard of several people getting have been frozen in the past few weeks for using allegedly using automated programs on the games. It seems to me like another glitch in Neo's automated "cheater catcher" system--similar to what happened in June 2003 when everyone and his uncle was frozen for "cheating at flash games." And lots of people getting warnings/freezings for chatting on the boards.

There is a new section in Meridell called Brightvale. It has a new wheel--which, in my opinion isn't worth the 500 nps to spin it. There is a new shop on Terror Mountain where you basically pay for a "grab bag" item. You don't know what you've got until you have turned over the nps--also not worth it in my opinion.

You can now challenge other players to flash games. Though it sounds intriguing, I haven't tried it yet.

There is now a weekly spotlight award for user look ups.

To keep people from blabbing the answers, both Lenny Conundrum and Mystery Pic now have a 2 million np prize pool, which is divided up among all of people who submitted the correct answers.

And, of course, lots of new games, new items, and new avatars. And, new sponsors--Neo even has a game sponsored by a women's deodorant called "Strong Women Who Sparkle," can you believe it? Deodorant--what's next? The Dial Soap on a Rope Game? Or AllState Insurance's Sammy the Safe Driver Game? Oh, well, the sponsors keep the game a'going, I guess--and I have found that the sponsor games are some of the best games to play for fast nps.
