It actually took a month to split this. Pleasantly surprised. Although the fact that it took a whole month and this post has the same info as the last... is not a pleasant surprise. More like an angry disgruntlfication.

As before, when the prizes are out, this post will be chock full of that info!

Of course, some of you may still be needing to finish this plot up... our version of the walkthrough can be found in the 74th Split:

Excessive whining, nonsensical posts, and/or cryptic eye-killful posts will be deleted upon moderator's discretion!

So here's my thought: We should all send a question to the editorial asking if and when we are getting plot prizes. It just seems to me that the plot prizes should have been out before the cup prizes so I think alot of people are assuming we are not getting plot prizes when TNT told us we would.

anyone up for it? I just sent mine in.

I'm all for it. I sent a message at least two weeks ago, but I think it'd be great if a whole group sent a bunch--maybe they'd notice then. Maybe they'd be nice enough to at least say something about it.

Hate to break it to you guys, but the plot's still open for starting, let alone finishing up. I just did it in two days (Big, BIG thanks to all the people who posted their help here, or I never would have made it).

I doubt they'll be sending out prizes when they haven't even stopped participation yet.

Just a thought,

I refuse to admit that that's a possibility - waiting until the game is done to award prizes...pfft. Whatever.

I hadn't realized it was still open - I was going to also send in an editorial requrest. Now I guess I'll save the effort and just have another coffee instead.

Get one for me too, will you?

I hope the plot's just open randomly, and the prizes are given out without it warning us by closing the plot. and i love how we now a have a new split for this!

The longer the prizes take, me thinks, the more they are inclined to be worth the wait.

The plot still being open is suspicious and I hate to insert any combination of words involving "continuation" "of" "Altador" and "Plot" here :P but, well it still sticks in my mind. (If anything, I hope it is only some finalization therof.)

I have only participated in the LDP and this recent Altador Plot/Cup and Cyodrake awaiting-something-to-happen-other-than-read-comic, but has it ever taken this long to *close* a plot much less create prizes for it?

Even if it is some sort of continuation, I think TNT would be fair and still hand out prizes to those completing the actual Altador Plot proper (as labelled on their own Neoboards, then changed when appropriate) if one did not choose to go on with the next "mini-plot" or whatever this may be.

Also, I hope you realize the more reports people send in, the more this could delay the release of any prizes that await being finished for us. Please don't create more work for TNT. They might have something very grand for us in mind; having to delete redundent e-mails only takes time. Plus, if there are never to be any prizes, no use protesting anyway. ;) The very least we can hope for is that they *tell* us if there are no prizes.

Yea, I think most know that it's still open, but for it to be still open 2 months after the last clue is strange (at least that what others have said that have done other plots). And the council said that we'd get prizes, SOON; I don't call waiting 2 months soon.

As far as contacting TNT, perhaps we could send in one letter signed by a bunch of folks instead of bombarding them with many emails. I do think they ought to have said something by now. It's sort of like knowing that Christmas is coming up, but a week before your parents say, "No, not this month, we're still waiting for that consultants paycheck, dag nabit." And Christmas is postponed for yet another month, then another . . .

I never liked the wait between plots, and if Neopets wants to start letting the plots overlap, that's fine with me.

Maybe someday they'll have four or five separate plots going at once.

If the plot was closed and I didn't have my prizes, I would start feeling abandoned, etc. But I figure the more people who finish, then the better my prizes for finishing early.

That being said, I would also like my prizes (especially since I haven't fully participated in a plot since the volcano mystery) and I see absolutely nothing wrong with bombarding neopets with e-mail. If they see enough e-mails with "Plot Prizes" in the subject line, then they might hurry it along. I'm sure they get tons of e-mail every day with subjects like "Jelly World does so exist you @$%#" and "Why can't I adopt a Pikachu?" A few more e-mails about the plot prizes would be probably be welcome.

Some people also said because Altador was a mini-plot there ain't any prizes. True? I don't know; my first plot was LDP and I gave up halfway. xP

Altador seems more of a major plot then a mini plot. What we are doing now seems more mini plot like seeing as we really have DONE anything besides wait for a ship to show up and read a comic.

I also have a slight suspision that while the plot doesnt SEEM closed that it really is. That peoples scores are not longer really being sent in or they are going to end up with an avatar or something for the late participation.

Of course these are all just my thoughts not anythign to do with what anyone else has said.

Well, I finally finished it. If I had known it would've taken this little time earlier I would've done it earlier (some of those puzzles annoyed the heck out of me though). I just want something good for a change. :P

I'm one of those that believe that either they've forgotten about the prizes(unlikely), or put them to the side for now for something bigger (as TNT is known to do with a number of things)
Or
We're just not getting them.

Either way I don't expect the prizes before october time.

Nah. They're just being lazy bums and enjoying their summer holidays.

I agree that it didn't really seem a mini plot, since it was pretty challenging in some parts. Ok, some people could finish it in one day, but only after it had ended and they knew how to find the spellbook quickly, and which spell to cast, etc. For me, trying to do some parts before a guide was released has been pretty tricky (and it wasn't my first plot either :P ne, Anubis Toxicology Report?)

The Cyodrake's Gaze annoys me a bit. It's as if they're trying to distract us with a new plot so we could forget about prizes :roflol:

Remember that it took a number of months for the LDP prizes. A lot of people finished it up while those who already finished had to wait. It's not unusual or unexpected.
