March 3rd has been CANCELLED due to lack of interest... again. Your regularly scheduled news will resume tomorrow when we're sure interest will return. Until then, Happy March 3rd!


Ummmm..... what gives?

Last year, they cancelled March 3rd because they synced the site on that day. I guess they're doing it again... or it's just a new tradition. At least tomorrow's Gadsgadsbogen, which will have more news.

On the Neopets calendar, you'll find the following:

I thought the march 3rd thing happened back in '04? Kinda funny they did this and are keeping it going.

Yup, back then. Someone complained in the editorial because it was their birthday.

Supposedly, all news was to be synced at 12.

Thanks to news coming a day early, I'm getting my CC's confused. Now I see gelert day coming Tuesday. O_o I thought weekend news was monday, but the next CC is Gads.
Gah! I'm still getting use to the weekend and monday change.

Not complaining of the change, just having a hard time adapting.

Surely it's better than getting it a day late? I think the whole news change thing regarding when they put it up is simply because they have so much on their plate at the moment with the other side of neopia coming out and the world of neopia just getting bigger in general. They probably figure it's more productive to get the news out of the way first and then focus on the new worlds ^__^

I wish March 3rd was really cancelled, I have to work a 12 hour shift.

I say if they aren't going to make some news, we should make our own news.

March 3rd

*Wow! A new island seems to have randomly emerged from the depths of the ocean. And there seems to be some odd looking creature that looks a bit like a cross between a weasel and a squirrel. I wonder what it could be?

*The images of the shoyru and the gelert have been updated to look all spiffy and new.

*New accounts less than 4 months old will not be able to post on the neoboards because you people make us sick and we'll not be having with any of your crap anymore.

*A new paint brush seems to have made its way to neopia, sporting chainmail, sharp objects, and a fierce aggressiveness to make all that stand before it tremble. Yay! It's a Warrior Paint Brush!

*Oh, and the stone paint brush has been brought back. Couldn't even remember why we took it off in the first place. Sorry.

*And congratulations to the people who bought several hundred thousand shares of EEEEE because it just went up about a gajillion points.

Maybe add to that a half price day at the hidden tower is tomorrow, and random givings out of Illusens staff/Jhudoras wand to the first 1,000 people that manage to figure out this problem, cause we can't: 2+2=?

That would really throw things into a twist for awhile, eh?

March 3rd continued

*The gnorbu has been revamped (or devamped?) to look like the one you all had originally voted on. We thought about it and realized you all probably know what you wanted a bit better than we did.

*We have made cookie grabbing effectively impossible. Thanks to our recent ties to the government agency known as , we have erected a super laser beam on a satelite in space that will ultimately vaporize all who attempt that sort of mischief. We expect to cut down on it by about 43% by 2007

*The neopets movie is being done by Pixar. So far it looks AMAZING. We cried it looked so beautiful.

*Premium has finally undergone the last stages of testing. Everybody who registers within the next 72 hours will have it free. FOREVER.

*Clothing can now be worn by pets. Show off the latest fashions to everybody and have your pet be the super cool new hipster on the block.

*Your pets can now live in neohomes. You can move it around and watch it have fun dancing to the tunes on your stereo, sitting in a chair, eating food at the table, admiring posters and other odd furniture, sleeping in bed, and all that other neat stuff.

*Petpets now have poses that echo your pet's mood. And when you say something nice to them, they dance.
