Has anyone else noticed that the "free" vowels are not really free? It took me a while to look. When you click on a blank tile, it lets you pick one of the vowels, and they all say "free" underneath. When you pick one, it's current cost is deducted from your score anyway.

Still, I love that game.

the price starts at 10, and goes up by 1 each time you use the vowel.

Yeah, you can buy a vowel any time for 10+1+1+1... BUT... instructions say "Blank tiles are like one-time-use coupons for a free vowel of your choice."

They even say "Free" while you are choosing the vowel. Watch your score when you choose one though, it decreases by that vowel's cost.

When the pyramid starts, I fill all the blank tiles before I do any words because you get them for free then.

That's just it, they're not free. They still deduct points when you use them. Silly, really...I hope they fix that if they didn't already (it's been awhile since I played).

They fixed it! Now you don't get charged for the vowel. It also counts as a letter in the word for the words score. But when you buy a vowel to use in a 5-letter word (for example), that vowel isn't counted as a letter in the word so you are scored for a 4-letter word.
