Can anyone tell me what shopping redirect is?

When you install the Neopets Toolbar under the My Favourites button it has options. One of these is an owl with the instruction "By keeping this checked, you are helping keep Neopets FREE of annoying pop-ups and banner ads."

That's curious, it's not clear what it does. My main browser is Firefox so I don't use the toolbar, though I did install it on IE for my alias. I'm going to play around and see if I can notice anything.

One thing I didn't realize the toolbar was doing was collecting my recently visited sites -.- That's a feature I wouldn't mind turning on, but to have it there without being made aware of it isn't very nice.

Hmm, well I never d/l the toolbar. I have this innate distrust of any d/l toolbars after I tried to get the yahoo one and both my spyware detector/removers went berserk.

That your history (sites visited) is being "kept" by the toolbar I'm not sure I'd like. Sounds like tracking cookies to me. Which I know are for the most part innocent, but it can add to the amount of spam email you get if nothing else.

I try to surf as anonymously as possible.

Yeah same everconfused, i hate toolbars. They all track where you go and stuff... Maybe the owl is neo adding all of their sites and partners into your Faves? I doubt it but maybe...

I dun have premium, but I'm guessing that if you click the link that it will take you to a page with an owl with a checkbox under it if its checked you are probably paying mre to keep ads off of the site. Thats my guess
