As many of you know, I have a plushie gallery. For the past two weeks or so, I (and others in my guild) have been finding rarity 94-98 plushies on the shop wiz for 99,999. Stuff we'd normally be forced to pay a lot more for. And, not just a few plushies. I found three starry yurbles for 99,999 each. When those would normally go for at least 200K on the TP. And, I have seen several plushies on the TP that had been extremely scarce prior to now (darigan eyrie, disco and faerie nimmo, baby bruce, melatite and serpentine dervish plushies).

So, here's my question. Was there a recent crackdown on autobuyers (which would allow people who normally don't deal in rare plushies to snag one and price it to sell instead of holding out for the big bucks) or has TNT taken shapu's suggestion (from a few months back) to heart and released rare plushies that had been sitting in frozen accounts?

Or was I just lucky? :P

EDIT: I suppose it could also be one of two possibilities. That the plushie market is going soft. There have been several semi-large plushie gallery owners that recently quit collecting--due to the ever increasing of number needed to complete a gallery (over 900!). Or that a scammer is out there and dumping them for a quick sale on the shop wiz.

I'm no restocker, but I am a trader, and lately, not much plushie trades have been going on... atl east from what i know on the boards... Not much activity now...

r94-98 plushies sometimes go buyable because of people looking for a quick sale :) r94-98 plushies are HTS in most people's books as everyone only wants r99 plushies, thus those worth 100-250k on the TP can sometimes be found on the wiz buyable due to people just wanting fast cash :)

So far, autobuying this is rampant i believe, but less so than before... There are still probably programs that do AB, and neo has yet to settle this problem. I hihgly doubt the ABers will go out of existance...

I also highly doubt they will release items held in frozen accounts... what if the frozen accounts were frozen unfairly and the owner got it back?

I sold my whole plushie gallery recently as it'll never be complete, I have an unbuyable Agate Dervish Plushie in my shop for 99,999 that started at almost 200k (sat in the post for 2 months) it still hasn't sold, selling the rarer plushies is almost impossible. and probably why you're finding a bunch like that.

Plushie galleries just bite... They totally do. I suggest collecting anything from 1 - 5 different types of plushie whether it be by rarity or color or theme... whatver...

Maybe you should pick your top 2 - 5 colors and only collect plushies that fit? o_O

I restock in Toy, and getting plushies is hard, especially that rare. But, when they do restock, if an autobuyer doesn't get them the person who does often puts them buyable only because they are really hard to sell. When I get a plushie that is only about 150k on the trading post, I'll put it buyable, and even then it takes a while to sell.

*covers ears of my 782 plushies*

Those of us die-hard plushie collectors who are sticking it out have come to realize that our galleries will never be complete. And, I think that once you come to that realization, collecting plushies becomes a lot more fun. Because it really isn't about how many plushies I have, but more about the joy I get when I am finally able to snag one that I have had my eye on for a long time.

And, hey, anyone having a hard time selling their plushies, PM me. If I don't need it, I might know someone who might be willing to take it off of your hands.

I have not had the luck yet of finding UB plushies for 99k. I'm not collecting just plushies, but I will be (as I save up) buying all the valentines' plushies for my gallery. Some of them, the prices are still Ouch!

I did wonder about that, a couple of weeks ago I found a desert wocky plushie buyable on the wiz. I snapped it up figuring I could try selling it for more and at the very least get back what I paid if it did turn out to be hts.

But it sold for full price a few days later and the person I bought it from looked experienced. I guess maybe they just needed the money fast or something o_O It'd be nice though if they have cracked down on abers some more.
